Bank Feeds - In-app alerts for current and historic outages
If Xero or a partner organisation should encounter issues which may lead to data integrity issues, we should receive an email alert or some kind of notification.
e.g. issues with Bank Feeds whereby there are duplicate or missing transactions. This has occurred a few times and we have only discovered, retrospectively, about the issue.
We don't use Xero each day and certainly don't visit the Status page every day, such issues may well not come to light... by the time we visit the Status page a problem is quite likely to have been resolved and the status shows as OK, even though... things have not been OK.
A simple email alert in such cases would pre-empt the situation and let us know the date range during which we need to double-check and possibly manually import transactions.
Hi everyone, while not an alert as such, currently we're looking into enabling customers the ability to send us an alert if you're having trouble with a bank account feed in your organisation. This'd help us quickly identify issues with a particular feed. I'll round back to share more as this shapes out.

Hi there
Is there a way for a bank feed to notify that it's ceased or not working? i.e. If the bank has been advised that the authority for the account has passed away and therefore blocks the feed, the accountants who manage the feed aren't necessarily advised in a timely fashion, so when they come to prepare accounts, it can create issuesTake a BNZ bank feed for example, transactions should appear in Xero every Tuesday to Saturday after 4am (NZT). If this doesn't happen because the bank has ceased the feed, could a warning symbol appear on the dashboard bank account in Xero to indicate that further follow-up is required? (Not sure if there is something like this already?)
Cheers

Been having issues with my Amex feeds so I tried to refresh and update login details and still failed. Been happening for days. So I tried the search function only to find there is a known issue with Yodlee and they are working on it. Why dont you have a message or alert when you log in that there is a know outage/issue to save me wasting time trying to fix it. Just a popup or a red banner accross the top of screen saying something like "were experiencing issues with *** and working on it" would be helpful.

Is it possible to set up an e-mail notification if any client's bank feed goes down?
