Accounts transactions report - Set default for archived accounts
The show archived accounts checkbox is unchecjed in the accounts transaction report as default, or able to be unchecked. Currently it is ticked and needs to be unchecked every time you go into the report.
Hi Vanessa, next time you open the report and uncheck this option you can save the report as Custom, then choose to make this the default. That way the box will remain unchecked each time you go to it in the future 🙂

3 Ideas to make the the Account Transactions Report selection criteria work better:
1- By default have the "Show Archived" unticked. I have had feedback from many clients that they find is annoying as very often they are wanting to select an active account code (especially those entities who have a LOT of archived accounts). If they want to include Archived Accounts, then people can still click on that check-box.
2- Have a "Deselect all" option appear when 1 or more account codes are selected. I know the work-around is to click "Select All", then click "Deselect all" to clear the selection list so I can then re-run a new report.
3- Have 5 buttons to select 1 or more of the Accounting Elements - Assets, Liabilities, Owners Equity, Revenue, Expenses. Could be abbreviated to their letter (A, L, OE, R, E). This would then tick all the account codes matching that element. This would make it easier in doing analytical reviews and looking at different areas (such as all the expense account codes with 1 click).
That's my three suggestions to make this report better. What do others think?

Agree this is a pain point. Would think that the natural preference would be NOT to include archived accounts. And then once you have selected an account, you can no longer check/uncheck that box.
