Quote - Copy Project through to Invoice created from a Projects quote

When creating an Invoice from a quote within Projects, the newly created invoice does not retain any connection to the Project that the quote is linked to. This is very annoying and time-consuming - as the only way to then link the Invoice to the Project is to manually select and assign every individual line item, one by one and map them against the project. Surely this is an easy fix to keep an Invoice linked to a project as the quote was? Why would you disassociate an invoice from a project that it directly relates to??

    YESSS!!!!! I have lost so many invoices allocated to Projects because this doesn't happen!

    I agree, this is annoying and should be fixed - however there is a workaround.

    From the quote, look in the lower right section of the header and you should see a link that will take you back to the project. Once in the project click Invoice > Quote and xero will create a fresh invoice with the project column already filled out properly.

    Another no-brainer that XERO has ignored. Interesting that of over 3000 "ideas" only about 100 are even being looked at!

    This is an old feature that I also voted up years ago. Still no movement on this topic then! Good to see the old one has been delted and replaced by the new 1 vote version!
    It's interesting that EVERY SINGLE feature request I have previously voted on (with 1 exception) has been DELETED from the suggestions page. I guess it was too embarrassing for Xero to have so many old and negative comments!
