Project - Multiple contacts
Multiple contacts on a Project. Projects can currenlty only be built and linked to 1 contact at a time. However. in terms of training and events where there could be multiple contacts linked this is an issue. If Xero could add the option for multiple contacts this would be great. It would save all my issues in terms of tracking a job.
Hi Megan, when your talk about the training and events could you explain a bit more of your business flow when using Projects?
Atm, you can create bills and invoices for different contacts and associated these transactions with a single project.

Hi Xero, I have the same issue, same company with multiple contacts for billing. Maybe if XERO development team could update contacts so a business can have multiple contacts simply by creating a unique 'Account Number' in contact details?

Yes, this would be helpful for my business. My clients can be unincorporated JVs that want to split bills on a project according to their participating interest in the JV.

Exactly what Kenny said... we also work on multiple projects for a single customer and being able to send the invoice specifically to the contact who has worked on the project would be a game changer. Please make it happen!

The ability to assign project contacts rather than just assigning the company and using its default contact would be useful.
I work on multiple projects for the same customer, but each project has a different client contact. It would be nice to be able to specify the contact list for the project instead of just assigning a customer.

I would love to have this too! We are also a training centre requiring this function, and the 2 tracking categories is already used for the sales personnel and type of course we run. We have more than 100 course runs a year so tracking categories is not the way forward either.
Anyone found a workaround? -

I agree that having multiple contacts for a project is needed.
I have a client who hosts tours with multiple individuals that pay their own invoices but there is only one tour, and one project in Xero for that tour. Without multiple customers applied, we can't get the right profitability.
Another option is to allow one customer contact group to be connected to a project because then we can group the customers and apply the project to the group.

Hi Kelly
Happy that multiple contacts in terms of supplier can be used but it doesn't allow for multiple customers. This single customer contact is fine for our in house project and training but not in terms of public training. In a public training we could have 5 different customers or 6. But Xero only allows for 1. I hope this makes sense.
Thanks
