New Invoicing - Separate Email button, instead of a 2-click selection
The email invoice button on the new invoice template has moved from a main button to now being in a sub menu in the three dots, adding a click to the work flow.
But Print PDF is still a button on the main invoice template.
In an era where email is preferred over a printed PDF in the post, it would be nice to retain both EMAIL and PRINT as main buttons on the new invoice system. Seems extra work when you are sending a whole load every day for bigger companies.

Not a separate button in itself, however we’ve released some new shortcuts that’ll save you all the clicks here!
Thanks for all sharing your flows and the efficiency you found in being able to easily select to email your invoices. Listening to our customers feedback we know improvements to reduce the amount of clicks for actions in new invoicing is important.
We’ve just delivered a range of keyboard shortcuts to new invoicing, that cut down the number of mouse clicks and help you perform actions on your invoice with some simple keyboard entry.
Now you can easily bring up the send modal within a Draft, Awaiting Payment or Paid invoice by typing Alt-Shift-M (or Opt-Shift-M on a Mac)
While you get used to the combinations of shortcuts our product team have added small prompts to highlight these in the product, and if you’d like to view the full list of options you can see them all on Xero Central.

Please return the email button to main invoice, not many of us are printing these days.

Thank you, Fiona. Though I’ve lost hope that Xero is capable of listening to users, I signed the petition.

Why has the Email button disappeared? Please retain it at the top, along with Print PDF

pain in the butt but more importantly a waste of time.

Keep single touch button for approve and email invoices. Going through several steps in new invoicing system to send the invoice is a pain in the butt.

It is some much easier with the separate email button. Why do they need to change things. Seems to be going backwards. I need rhe time that the email was sent so I can confirm with my customers that say they never received the email. Which happens on a regular basis.

Definitely prefer a separate email button. We use email function both internally and externally for every invoice. Hiding it just creates more unnecessary work.

100% agreed that the email button is a key function and having to now navigate to the option menu first creates unnecessary additional time to send an invoice.

I add to this that this is when viewing an invoice after it has been created. I resend an invoice with a different email template to chase payment after the payment time elapses. Now when I view an unpaid existing invoice it does not have an email option unless I click the 3 buttons.
