New Invoicing - Option to edit 'Attention' field in customer address
In new invoicing, please revert the ability to edit the postal address 'attention' box, back to the same as classic invoicing. Property managers want the owner's name included in the invoice address, so for each invoice I produce, I need to change the person's name in the 'attention' box. Previously this could be done by clicking on 'edit address' within the invoice, but in new invoicing, I need to edit the address by going into 'contacts', 'edit ', 'addresses', 'edit address', 'update address', 'save'. Once this is done, the ability to email the new invoice disappears, and I have to pdf the invoice, find the address of the property agent, and send through normal emails. A one minute job now takes five minutes at least.

Hi everyone, thanks for continuing to tune into updates of the idea here. Taking feedback on board on information that's most helpful to our customers we've released improvements to the ‘Contact’ field within new invoicing.
We heard being able to edit and add the 'Attention to' for a contacts address was important, and we've now added this capability into the contact card so you can edit this in the billing or delivery address detail, on the fly.
Along with this; there's now a look up tool so you can easily search and select a contact's addresses, and we’ve added more lines to enter a contacts address if needed. We appreciate your engagement and letting us know what matters to you through product ideas.

I have the same issue- this needs to be fixed. Attention to is an important field of invoices and renders this solution quite unusuable in the business world.

Being able to Edit the "Attention to" section in the "Customer Address" when creating a new invoice for the same customer like the old version.
With the new invoicing - you have to go to Contacts to edit every time instead of being able to edit in the invoice you in.

This is critical to our locksmith business. We deal mainly with property management companies and must include the owners details in the invoice. Having to open and edit the contact each time is a costly exercise. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this before September.

@Justin McMillan not a single one of my clients uses 7 or 14 days, they're all 30 days or COD or if they deal with AU government they're 5 days and 21 days as per the government guidelines for e-invoicing and not e-invoicing.

I agree this is a major issue. I hope it is resolved.
It is also annoying that when creating a "copy to draft invoice" that it does not choose the same contact.
Also annoying that the due date does not default to the contact's terms. And in the options given, there is no choice for 30 days (I would have thought this was a standard payment term).
Let's hope Xero support is reading these messages. I haven't had a lot of luck in the past....

With Classic Invoicing, you were able to edit the billing address straight from the invoice. With New Invoicing, we are not only unable to edit the address, we can't even see who the invoice is attention to until we print the invoice.
Please make sure the full billing address is available on the invoice screen, and also make it possible to edit who to attention the invoice to straight from the invoice (and not have to go into the contact to edit it, then edit the invoice to update the contact information) as this can change depending on who made the order.

We have a client that needs this as well.
Previously our client could see the 'Attention' field onscreen whilst creating an invoice and could easily edit it if needed.
Whilst Xero now at least displays the address in New Invoicing they don't include the 'Attention' field for some reason, and so our client still has to print the invoice to check it and edit it if necessary - all of which takes time!

I need this too. Thank you Hilary. Xero - please add this field ASAP. Instead, you are adding so much time to my workflow and it is a big fat hassle.

Absolutely ridiculous that you cant manipulate an invoice to stay under its current Customer tab but change the name or address manually on the invoice. We get companies asking us to do a job so it goes under that large company name but when invoicing they want their client name/address on invoice. Very primitive compared to other accounting systems I've used.

Ability to edit the name the invoice is addressed to, without having to create a new contact.
Invoices are shown all on the one Contact's account, but could all be addressed to different people.
