New invoicing - Option to leave date field blank like classic invoicing
In New Invoicing can the Date field be left blank when in draft status as per previously. Regularly I create draft invoices and want to continue to be able to leave the date blank or to put tentative dates in before moving forwards int he process.

The new invoicing is NOT AN IMPROVEMENT! This is a typical example of software designers not using the program.
We invoice the end of the month ie August, in the beginning of September and having to remove the default date to enter the date we need is so frustrating and time consuming
We need to keep the option to stay on the classic invoicing permanently if they can't improve the new one

Now that this is coming into play I cannot stress how frustrating it is not to be able to chose what information I enter on to a draft invoice e.g. dates. Dates allow me a regulate the status of projects. Having to add a date at an early stage will just waste my time having to adjust it, potentially multiple times. Please allow for more flexibility on the draft invoice.

I agree in some cases I create invoice in draft add projects over a 12 month period so having to put a date in the new invoicing in draft mode is causing me grief

This is an extremely frustrating aspect of the new invoice template to have to have a date/due date. I draft all my invoices at the start of a project that can run over several months and are invoiced through the process. Having a "fictional" date is extremly annoying. Please update the template to allow a blank date.

The new invoicing format does not allow for a draft invoice to be saved without a date and due date being entered.
This does not suit our workflow as when dates are entered (they wont be correct as we are unsure when the invoice will be sent due to timing of a report being written) and when dates are in there there isn't a prompt to ensure that the dates are correct (and it is easy just to send without changing if you are busy - the current/old system will not let you approve an invoice with no date, so there is a prompt currently in that way).
To help explain, our workflow regarding invoices is as follows:
Draft invoice is made when the audit plan is sent to client. All expenses cannot always be entered as there may be expenses that need to be attributed to the audit after it has been conducted (such as ubers, parking, etc - unknown amounts).
Then the audit report is written by the auditor (unknown timeframe)
Then the audit report is reviewed by the Certification Manager (unknown timeframe). As part of this process the Certification Manager reviews the invoice and ensure that it is correct/adds any additional expenses not already included.
Then the audit report is to be sent by administration (unknown timeframe). This is when the invoice is sent on the same day, and currently the dates are added in the old invoicing system just before sending. -

They have put this stupid requirement into classic as well.
WHY DO I NEED TO INPUT A NON-ZERO VALUE IN THE QUANTITY AND UNIT VALUE FIELD FFS!?!?!!?
Why is it such an issue to let us have a blank info line? What is your problem with that Xero? What about making our jobs easier offends you so much?

As a matter of urgency, I really require the option of adding blank lines to an invoice or a quote as per the Classic Xero version. My invoices are varied and sometimes require alot of additional information. In the Classic version I am able to do this and move lines around and add blank lines. The new version does not allow this although if you go to the help menu in the new version is says you can. Please, please bring this option back.

I require the ability to delete the Date and Due Date for a draft invoice. I draft invoices for the entire duration of a project once a contract is signed. The dates are not known at this preliminary stage however it is hugely beneficial to have this pre-work completed at the start of the project.

I really need this feature along with many other features that will be missing from new invoicing. I can’t understand why Xero has decided to downgrade their product
