Contact - Field for Business Registered Name

When creating a new contact, I need a space for the Business registered Name as well as Trading name.

Appreciate the interest shown on the idea here, everyone. Atm, we don't have any plans for adding a specific field for a Contact / Business Registered name. 

While not a perfect solution as another user has shared, perhaps adding the name to the contact's address field could help surface this detail where required at present. 

We'll continue to gauge interest in this, and share if there are any updates.

    Our clients often belong to a group and we want to find ways to send quotes to a group and but then invoice to the individual entities within the group separately after. Having a field under "contacts" to separate legal name of the group vs operating name of the entities will be helpful

    Especially since Xero now no longer allows invoices to go out under anything but the legal name, having a section for that as well as the trading name or business name would mean I no longer have contacts called "Xero Australia Pty Limited t/as Paycycle Australia WAS Xero Live Pty Ltd"

    It would be great to have a spot to enter DBA names in the contact page. Most vendors we pay have payments made out to their DBA but then when it comes around to 1099 time, the wrong name is in the system because they only operate under their Sole Prop. with their name. It would be nice to enter both so we can see them but yet when we transfer the information to Track 1099 it would only pull the legal name.

    A notes section would also be very helpful for misc. things that should be notated under the contact.

    Please. We have dozens of suppliers who trade under one name, but who's formal trading entity is quite different...

    I'd like to use the the entity legal name to appear on quotes and invoices, but have a nickname / display name appearing in Xero.

    For example there may be "Department of X" in multiple states of Australia and a nickname would help distinguish them.

    I have this difficulty and put the Business name in the address. Not perfect..but the name is in there
