  2. IT would be really good to have the capability to add 'optional' items to a single quotation -

    • example #1: supplying in quantities of 10, 25 and 50,
    • example #2: there are five items in the 'basic quote' but the customer may choose to add items 6,7 and/or 8 but these aren't a fundamental requirement to include.

    If there is a quotation tool, then being able to offer customer flexibility is important as issuing multiple quotes can appear unprofessional

  3. Need the report linked from dashboard's Total Cash In and Out to MATCH to the data shown on a report.

    Right now it opens up a Bank Summary report which includes transfers, but even after removing transfers from the equation, the numbers still do not match up on the cash flow widget. I can't verify the cash flow widget's numbers.

    When I quickly want to take a photo of a receipt using mobile, I have to go through several clicks from the Dashboard: Purchases | Files Inbox | Take Photo. Which is frustrating. Can't you put a button on the dashboard [Take photo]?

  6. Given XERO is pulling in credit card transaction details can they pull in payment due dates to help manage timing of payments? Could be as simple as a "Payment is due" flag that a user can manually turn off if they want after paying.

    I use Zero mostly to run payments and upload them in the bank system. I am trying to make my work easier as currently Zero has very limited features and I have to do a lot of work manually. I need to be able to download payments files from Zero in CSV or XML format and then automatically upload them in bulk in our bank system. It would be really useful to be able to have a column in the 'awaiting payment' section where you can mark the group (i.e. Direct Debit) so when you're setting up Telleroo payments / batch payments, you can easily see which one's are Direct Debit suppliers without either running a payables report or clicking into the supplier to see which group they belong to

  11. Business snapshot - link to default custom Profit & Loss Report

    We use a custom Profit & Loss Report which is default.
    Unfortunately the Business snapshot links to the standard xero Profit & Loss Report not the custom default Profit & Loss report.
    Can the Business snapshot be changed to link to the custom default reports?

  12. We use our own numbering system as well as the xero auto numbering system. For customer invoices that pay cash, bacs or on account we use our own numbering system that originated from before we used Xero. I just amend the invoice number section on xero when a customer invoice is produced. I have always done this so no issues with that. We use the xero auto numbering for customers that pay by debit credit card. So everyone that pays by card during the day all get added to that one invoice. But the auto numbering system on the new…

  13. Budget Manager - Ability to Archive old budgets that relate to archived tracking categories.
    At present the budgets still appear within budget manager even though linked to an archived tracking category. It would be great that when you archive a tracking category that the budget is archived along with it or just the ability to archive old budgets in budget manager. At present you can only delete so you lose that history.

  15. Make the functionality of quotes similar to invoices, e.g. import quotes, bulk approve quotes, bulk send quotes. I recently had to send out 417 quotes for the same thing and they had to all be done individually which was extremely time consuming. If they had been invoices, I could've imported them on a spreadsheet, approved them all at once and sent them all at once. Instead each one had to be done individually.

    Appreciate your liking to invoices in Xero, Angela. Each functionality would need to be considered in isolation so I've changed the title of your idea here for bulk sending.

    We don't have any direct plans for this right now, but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest and keep you updated of any change, here.

    You'll find an existing idea for import/export of quotes that you may like to join as well. If there's any other feature like this that you'd like to see welcome to start another idea. 🙂

  16. The sum and subtract function in invoices is a great feature; it would be great to use it in expenses as well. I often have to itemise a gross expense total into separate items with different VAT treatments. It would be useful to subtract the itemised line amount from the gross total directly in Xero rather than using a calculator.

  17. New Invoicing - Show selected From Email

    The old invoicing would show which Email address would be used as the from email when emailing an invoice to a client. This is an important double check to be sure I'm using the correct email address for the particular client. Since this has been removed I now have to remember to check the Email settings in a different tab before sending every invoice, which is very time consuming and is the primary reason I switch back to Classic every time I try the frustrating "New Invoicing" system after suffering through its hard…

  18. We used to have the option to add/remove highlighting in a text box directly from the main page of draft reports, however this feature was removed and now we can only Bold/Italics/Underline/Bullet point, but no highlight.

    It would be great if we could add this function back in, so we didn't have to go to 'Edit Layout' to change add/remove highlighting anymore.

    Hi everyone, we really appreciate those that have been testing and sharing back on their experience with our beta for sending invoices via SMS. We've had great results and are moving forward to release this to all users in Australia to begin.

    As we roll this out this'll mean those that have been trialing this for us will lose access for a short period of time, but I'll round back to confirm once it's been released to everyone in AU 😊Thanks!

  20. The ability to 'lock in' previous periods pay rates in Projects. Currently, when uploading any pay rate changes per member of staff, this cascades back to all hours worked on projects which skews figures.
