  1. I often collect cash payments that I then create invoices for, rather than having to click on Approve then click on Add payment, it would be great to have the option to Approve and add payment in one click.

  2. We are just starting to use DocuSign for signing of Purchase Orders, invoices & Good Received Notes internally. Previously our Financial Controller just forwarded on the email with attachment to Hubdoc for auto uploading to Xero. However, signed documents with DocuSign are embedded in the body of the email meaning we have to download a document from DocuSign, then send an email to the FC as an attachment. It would be awesome if Hubdoc was compatible with DocuSign so that we could automatically send signed documents straight to our Hubdoc account!

  3. The "Explorer" tab in the employee expenses section needs an option to set the date range.
    At the moment it is pretty useless as I cant even see what date range it covers - presumably back to when we started using expenses mid way through the year 3 years ago?
    It is not meaningful to compare spend by different employees, if I cant do it by month or quarter, when some employees have been using expenses for much longer than others.
    An option to compare by employee for selected accounts, and to export to pdf/xls would also be really useful.

  4. in Projects, you only have 3 options as tabs, Draft, in progress or closed, it would be great if i could create more tabs. (on proof to customer, waiting on customer artwork, etc)

  7. I want to be able to add and edit line items in the Hubdoc mobile app so that I can process more complex invoices/bills on my mobile device. Currently I need to use the web app for this and the UX of the whole interface there is very poor – basically just the desktop interface but rendered much smaller – so the experience is quite painful.

  9. I would like the invoice email templates placeholders to have the have built-in functionality for automatic percentage calculations directly within the template. Like in some of the date place holders you you add month+1 to add a month. So in the invoice template it could be due with the facility to calculate 50% for example

  12. Document reference number could be modified & next number is shown is recommended.
    Eg.
    - Invoice number could be customised into "INV yymm-***", same goes to payment, receipt, credit note so on.
    - to shown next number under the reference number.

    If the payment is occurring at a different time to the transaction being entered is there a reason why the transaction is not being recorded as a bill, Anne-Marie? 

    There are lots of efficiencies in how bills can now be created in Xero without much manual intervention so would be good to understand more of the detail behind your business needs, here. 

  14. It'd be nice for there to be a 'Summary' view in Xero where the client can go to see and address all transactions with 'Discuss' comments.

    It'd be nice to send the client a link directly to this view, or to be able to send a notification (with automated reminders) directly from Xero prompting the client to address these comments, WITH a link that takes them right to this view.

    In this view, it'd be nice to...
    (1) see which user posted each comment,
    (2) be able to upload support directly into each transaction (which then stays with the transaction…

  15. When you import a tax invoice file you get to select when the invoice amount are either Tax Exclusive or Tax Inclusive.
    The default radio button option is always set as Tax Exclusive.

    It would be nice to be able to change this default setting so that the default option can be set to tax inclusive. I know it's a minor thing and while it might not save a lot of time, if all of your tax imports are GST inclusive, having the option to have this set as default so you don't have to remember to change it would…

  16. When suppliers are paid, the payment is given a reference, and this is then used to file paperwork. We can no longer see the payment reference when reviewing paid supplier invoices. Please bring this back.

  17. It would be excellent if employees could add the time used in a project to their timesheet via Xero Me.

    They have the assign project/s showing in their timesheet where they can add the hours used on it.

    For example:
    Monday
    Ordinary hours- Idea court project: 4.5h
    Ordinary hours- Flower street project: 3h

    Tuesday
    Ordinary hours- Idea court project: 7.5h

    Wednesday
    Ordinary hours- Flower street project: 5h
    Ordinary hours- Cloud avenue project 2.5h

    And so on. Then of there is overtime they could add that as same way then the ordinary hours.
    Also when the assigned employee adds the hours…

  18. It would be great if there was an option to automatically attach the supplier source invoices to the batch payment summary report.

    For example, where an SME has an in-house accounts person raise the batch payment for approval, you would have the option to not just download the batch summary report but include the attached files as well (i.e. the supplier invoices).

    Currently you have to down load the batch payment summary and attach the invoices separately. Whilst accounting practices may have document manager packages that can do this for them, SME owners may not and this feature would be…

  19. The repeating invoices that go to draft should have an option of saving for the next repeating invoice for that client. If you dont edit the invoice before it goes to draft eg: to increase an annual charge, then it does not save for the next time that repeating invoice comes up. Either that or give an option for a repeating invoice that has been delited to repeat again.

It would be super useful to add the xero organisation name to the subject line of emails sent from recipients of online invoices so firms with multiple xero organisations can see straight away, which xero organisation the contact belongs too, when they submit an email query via their online invoice link.
