Inventory - Bill of Materials reporting
BILL OF MATERIALS WOULD BE AWESOME AS MOST OF THE APPS YOU CAN DOWNLOAD COST YOU R900 PER MONTH AND THAT IS A BIT ROUGH ESPECIALLY IF YOU ONLY NEED THE BILL OF MATERIAL SECTION.

Agreed. As a small business we bundle a number of bought in parts to create a simple sales entity. I don't need the complexity of a full MRP system, so this feature would be a huge plus

A BOM function will be a great addition to the program features. Feature to bundle items to create a set to be invoiced to customers

Need this option too: Need to know inventory on parts used per finished product or good.
Manufactured Items, or "builds", are produced from other stock items. When you manufacture an output item you deduct the component items from stock and build the new manufactured output item, which is then placed in stock. This item is then sold in the usual method with pricing specified on the output stock items. -

sounds simple but it is the thin edge of the wedge, or it opens the door to greater complexity than the current scope of Xero. You know it never stops there, get a BOM and then you will want .... It's crossing a line... I think I've run out of metaphors, but you get the idea.
Still, it's a good idea. -
