  1. It is crazy to not be able to filter History and Notes by notes. What good does a note do me if I either have to:
    1. Go to the customer to see if there is one OR
    2. Have to read through all of the "Edited", "Credited" etc just to find the notes.

    Also make it so the notes can be filtered by customer/supplier. Notes do absolutely no good if they cannot be accessed or looked at easily.

    The attached has been filtered so the type is ONLY customer. I highlighted the items that are desired. All the rest…

  3. We would like to be able to capture non-financial (eg head count) and statistical numbers (eg Order Book) in Xero and add it into Xero reports alongside the existing financial information for management reporting
    Currently it seems that accounts that are added automatically appear in the Chart Of Accounts.
    Could another Account Type be created that allows memo accounts to be created outside the CoA?

  7. When searching for a bank institution, you all should allow for searches for the bank URL home page and also include a logo of the bank with each institution. For example, 'First Bank' has 40 different institutions and each sound similar to the next. Please consider creating better identifiers for each bank institution Xero integrates with. (QBO does this)

    Hi community, our Product team have recently made an improvement to the flow of adding a bank account in Xero. To make the task of adding a bank easier in Xero, we've enabled the option to click the information icon next to a bank and view it's URL so you can identify that you're selecting the correct bank when connecting a bank feed. 


    We appreciate this isn't the direct ask in the idea of being able to search by URL, and while we'll continue to monitor the feedback on this here we don't have direct plans for developing the ability to search URL at this time.

  9. We are required to enter invoice numbers and tax ID numbers of suppliers when loading taxes onto the local tax returns portal. Is there any specific report that allows to generate a report that shows, supplier tax ID, supplier invoice number, total invoice amount and total tax included, all together in a repor, so that our tax filing is hassle free.

    There's no report in Xero that'll currently give you all the details you've asked here, in one report, Avneet. To better understand what maybe needed to develop a report like this can you share which field within a contacts record are you currently using to enter the Tax ID #?

    Being open we don't have plans for development of this right now, but it'll be good to get a better sense of interest for this from the community here.

  10. Draft Bills - Ability to create Credits from Draft Bill sent directly to Xero email

    Suppliers email credits as well as Bills, why not have the ability to process a bill or credit through this area, a supplier is not going to invoice credits to one email address and invoices to another. Why can we not select if it is a bill or credit and process.

    Purpose: to allow processing of credits through the Draft Bills seamless

    cost effective: reduce the need for additional software such as dext or hubdoc, use xero.

    HI team, appreciate not directly within the Customer statement at present and being open we don't have immediate change planned for adding this to the customer statement. However, for the time being you could look to run the Customer Invoice Activity report which has a few more options for the columns and detail shown. 

    Once you've set up as you like you could save as Custom to make this readily available in your org and export to share externally with a customer/client. 

  13. Bank Rules for Split allocations and less steps to overpayments.
    We have a subscription business and invoice annually, I go into each customer, search, then split, add the payment amount, then click ok, then click reconcile. (sometimes I have to unclick the invoice it tried to match ; adding another step)
    I would prefer a bank rule to search first on the customer and not the amount, improved AI. Then match the payment to the sales invoice as a split more quickly, rather than a 3 step process, to automatically make the overpayment the amount paid.

  14. Bank statement search needs to allow the user to filter the search by spent or received as the amounts elements apply to both spent and received.

  15. A separate section within Xero that allows you to handle and process client money. This does not appear in the main balance sheet but operates independently. Client money is linked to the contacts but is kept separate from the business accounting. Cashbook operates in the a similar way with a bank link, but the client balance shows as a separate box. Allow payment of invoices from the client account to cover invoices. This would help small legal firms and other businesses that handle client money.

  16. Within Xero Projects, we would like the functionality to be able to amend the project setting so that we can set the default to non-chargeable for bills and expenses rather then the current automatic % markup.

    The current approach means that the project reporting shows bills outstanding when they aren't particularly relevant when you have contractors delivering the work for an agreed price. at the moment we have to go into each category and amend each line item

  17. We run a music festival of 10 concerts. Each concert is set up as a tracking category. It would be great to spread the direct and admin costs across evenly acoss all 10 concerts in a way that doesn't involve entering each invoice across 10 lines.

  18. US Xero Clients have Avalara built into Xero as the Auto Sales Tax feature. With legislation changing significantly around Sales Tax in the US, Canadian Companies who sell into the US would really benefit from having the same feature available to them.

  19. I have around 100 billable expenses each month, I click on the 'Billable' in Expensify and that comes through to xero, but there are many that need to be entered into xero directly.
    We need a report showing unbilled expenses where we can click on the items to mark them as billable in bulk, rather than line by line, which takes up a lot of time.

  20. I want to disable Xero from autofilling my tracking categories on invoices. I regularly invoice a client but the invoice tracking category differs regularly. I'm sick of having to correct the autofilled tracking category to the correct selection.

    There also appears to be a bug in this area. When I delete/amend the invoice tracking category that has been autofilled and then alter any part of the line item it reverts the tracking category to whatever it was originally, which is really annoying me.
