  1. To have an account overdue notice pop up on invoice screen once customer name is entered. If a customer has an outstanding account - the reminder and amount overdue to pop up as a bit of a warning to the owner whether they should be continuing to do business with this customer, or at least until the account is settled. (I believe reckon account have this feature available and at my previous employment we found this to be most useful)

  2. It would save so much time if there was the ability to drag and drop the bank account order in the bank accounts screen (so it changes the order in the drop down menus). It is very cumbersome clicking the bank accounts up one step at a time especially when you have over 30 bank accounts!

  3. Xero Expenses - Currently there is no report to get information on expense claims needs approving. (by staff member, period etc) It would be useful to have a report which can be filtered rather then logging in to screen and view all. Thanks!

  4. We have to use find and recode each month for adjusting certain batches of transactions. These are the same combination of searches used monthly to find and recode.

    It would be useful to be able to name and save or favourite search criteria for quick recall each month. (Looking back at previous searches is ok, but not obvious which is which until you click into them).

  5. Could the batch payment run on the bank feed be split to contact amount on the bank feed. At present I run a batch payment in xero which is quicker and I can send out all the relevant remittance advices to suppliers. However I haven't got a batch facility on my bank so enter these payments manually for each individual supplier.

    This means when I come to reconcile the bank I have to delete the xero batch payment run and match up the invoices again via the bank reconciliation. This feels like I am doing the work twice, and notes…

  6. There isn’t the ability to have a ‘reporting name’ for a bank account name on the Chart of accounts
    (. e.g. you either have to update the name in the system (problematic for live files where the client names accounts based upon their use and not in out reporting name format) or manually create a group with the correct name when drafting the financials to replace the account name.

    Appreciate it's not the ideal solution but good to hear you're aware of how you can group and rename an account through the Financial reports at present. We'll keep an eye on the interest in this, here. 

  7. Custom Reports: It would be great to be able to add a formula row in the custom reports that can display as a percentage. For example GP% and NP%
    Or just have the ability to add a GP% and NP% row.

    Hi everyone, while we thank you all for your input on this idea here, with shifting priorities the planned work for formulas for % within reports has changed and this will not be picked up as soon as we originally hoped.

    For now we'll move the status of this idea back to Submitted and share if there's any further progress. Please do keep feeding back and contributing to this idea if this is something you'd like to see. 

  8. Can we please view more than the current bank statement lines in cash coding?
    At the moment you can only view 4 bank statement lines in the cash coding tab. Date, Payee, Reference & Description.

    We have found that sometimes we have clients using the Analysis Code, particulars or Code to reference details for the bank payment so when these come through to cash coding the view only items are all blank.

  9. Can we please have the report codes shown & editable on the chart of accounts page, and also through the actual reports?

    Reasons for the request:
    1. It is a logical workflow to specify how an account is to be reported when setting it up
    2. It saves having to view the report, realise a report code needs correction and then having to close the report to do this, if you can drill down straight from the report as displayed.
    3. As the account balance is shown on the Chart of Accounts page, it makes it clearer which accounts actually…

    Hi everyone, we've just released a change so if you're a part of a Xero practice you'll now see we've added a new ‘Report code’ column to the Chart of Accounts page, that displays the report code and report code name. This should help save you time, and easily review report codes before running report templates.

  10. Firstly, there are some basic functions totally missing from repeating invoices:

    1. Being able to apply a credit to future repeating invoices
    2. (So that payment doesn’t accidentally get taken by direct debit when there is a credit on the account.)
    3. Schedule a time for repeating invoices to be generated and sent
    4. Schedule a time invoice reminders to be sent (Currently my clients receive their invoices and reminders in the wee hours of the morning which looks really unprofessional.)

    Then there’s the integration with GoCardless automated payments… Which is, well, totally unusable (for me anyway).

  11. Currently there’s no functionality in Xero to run an IAS without the GST Accounting Method set up.
    Suggest a feature request that allows you to prepare the activity statement regardless of the entity being registered for GST or not.

  12. Please update depreciation schedule to allow for custom percentages per year, for small business in SA it is allowed to depreciate 50% / 30% / 20% over three years but there is no viable way to implement currently.

  14. It would be good to have the ability to add a customer watchlist to the dashboard so that businesses can see when customers have overdue invoices or reached their credit limits so credit credit control can be improved. I personally don't like the email reminders as that doesn't work for our business model so I feel like a watchlist on the dashboard would be good.

  16. Hide or Archive System Accounts when not needed. We are a Cash Accounting based business so have no A/R, A/P, or other accounts related to Accrual Accounting. I
    It would be most useful to tidy up our chart of accounts to be able to hide the system accounts related to Accrual Accounting so that they don't clog up our reports etc.

  17. Hiding archived accounts from chart of accounts list when customising report layouts, perhaps with a tick box to show or hide the archived accounts. It makes the job of customising layouts so tedious when the old messy chart of accounts come up every time and you can’t hide the archived accounts!

  20. It would be extremely helpful to have a 'master' input at the top of each column of a quote / invoice / bill etc so that the master input is then auto-populated under that column heading for all line-items of the quote / invoice / bill.

    For instance, my sales code is likely to be the same for each item of a given invoice, and yet I need to input this code as many times as the number of line-items in the invoice - rather than just once. Same for eg tax code and, in my case, I have a…
