  1. BNZ do not provide receivers with online access to accounts. Xero only allow BNZ bank feeds to be updated online. Receiving timely access to transactions is very important but BNZ & Xero have decided to cease this feature and not provide a solution for all customers.

  2. Projects - ability to use tracking categories when using the project reporting. At present when project data is entered into xero there is no report that can be filtered using tracking categories

  4. when i filter through Payable invoice Report, it only allows to select groups containing but not excluding certain contact groups. i have only suppliers under no group, Euros & DD and i wish to exclude these within DD group to be excluded to avoid double paying them.

  5. I would suggest to about the Contacts function. Currently, the system automatically merge the contact information with the same name first and last name when importing the contacts. It's very common that customers have same first name and last name. I think it's better for Xero to have diagnostic to ask if the contacts imported are the same before merging. The auto merging function is creating lots of issue when the customers name are the same.

  6. I am working with Société Générale (France) and we are not so lucky to have the automated bank transactions functionality. Our bank is combining both main bank movement and credit card movements in their OFX format.

    This currently gives me the following error message in Xero : The file selected contains more than one statement which is not currently supported. Download a file with transactions for one account and try again.

    My error message finds its cause in the fact that I have an export from the bank that contains both <bankmsgrsv1> and <creditcardmsgrsv1> transactions.

  7. A note of outstanding, unreconciled statement lines before completing a VAT return.

    Currently you click review and can see the VAT return; however, it would be useful to have a box that would flag if there any unreconciled transactions within the VAT period.

    This would help to ensure no transactions are missed when completing a VAT return.

    Thanks for the response, Joanne. While it's not something we have direct plans for atm, we'll get a better of the interest around this here, and I'll share if there's any changes planned.

  10. I noticed the new invoicing option seems to be not user-friendly as you can't edit the account name there is no option, and the classic is much better. I wonder why that is?

    Hi team, returning to the idea here and rounding back on my last update. Currently it is not possible to edit the Account name or Code of an account from within new invoicing. You'll need to do this by going to the Chart of Accounts screen and updating this, there.

    This is not a feature within classic or new invoicing. However, we'll leave the idea open here so we can get continued interest and consider as a possible future enhancement within new invoicing.

  11. In the Projects | Tasks & expneses, can we please add in the date??
    I understand that the date can be accessed by opening the bill or viewing the bill, but this is very tedious AND if you open the bill, you can't easily find your way back to the particular bill you were looking at (the screen jumps back to the top).
    It is extremely difficult to navigate these expenses when there are hundreds of them attached to the project, so having the bill date here would be SO much more convenient.

  13. Finalise Year End
    Can we have an option (just like finalising the GST returns) where we can finalise the year, and then later on print a report with any changes made since? The lock dates are not the solution, because they can be unlocked and relocked and there is no detail of changes made.
    If we could "finalise" a year when the client has signed off accounts or tax returns, then if anyone inadvertently edits or changes coding we can see that.

  14. To produce a report that shows all expenses entered via the expense claim feature for a specific period, which also shows who entered the expenses and details of the claims?

    This is a useful feature required for comparing budgets and forecasting future cash flow expectations.

    Hi community, we recognise it's been some time since our last update on this idea and apologise for the delay in coming back here.

    After our last post, priorities for the team did pivot and work for showing current VAT liability was put on hold.

    While not actively underway atm, we have intentions of surfacing an organisation's VAT liability total on the dashboard on our longer terms roadmap. While we'll move this idea to Accepted for now, as soon as there is movement we'll be back to update you again. Thanks

  17. Bank Rules Report
    To enable review of all rules in place rather than having to select each one individually. This will enable duplications to be removed, rules not working to be fixed etc etc

  18. Addition option of show customer statement "actual" outstanding instead "as at" date.
    Eg, Our customer ABC need us to furnish a Outstanding statement that as at 30 June 2023, and there is 4 invoice unpaid. Happen that 15 July 2023the customer pay the 3 invoices only. Customer request us to send the statement show the 1 unpaid invoice dated 30 June 2023 but it still shows 4 outstanding, how can we show the the one unpaid invoice in the statement.

    Ideal additional option of show date 30.6.23 and show the one 1 unpaid invoice only. Kindly advice.

  19. Is there an option to show "Manual Bank Reconciliation Date" rather than Reconciled Date? The reconciled date is system generated and it does not mean much if the balances are out to start with. This would allow the user to know when bank rec was actually performed by a human.

    Hi Jo-Ann - when you say you'd like to view the date the bank account was manually reconciled would this be on the org's Dashboard?

    As a means of viewing this information at present - you could run the History & notes and view only Bank transaction items where you'll see the name of the user and date that the last transaction in the org was reconciled. 🙂

  20. The Inventory Item Details report does not show inventory items where there was no movement during the month. Therefore the report does not tie out to the balance per the TB for inventory. Can this be fixed?

    Hey Louis - thanks for sharing your suggestion!

    Understand that it's not quite what you're after, but it's worth a mention: The 'Inventory Item Summary' report will show all inventory items in your organisation, including those without any movement in the selected period. 

    I've attached a screenshot as an example, so you can check if it suits your reporting needs  - we'll leave this idea up in the meantime 😊
