Manual Journals - Extend import limit
The 300 line cap for importing journals is completely pointless and shortsighted. With MTD rules requiring digital links, importing of journals/transactions has become vital, yet Xero still retains this nonsensical limit. We are forced to manually intervene and adjust where journals are too long (makes a mockery of MTD). Excel can handle over a million lines (and has done for ~20 years now). Sage manages 999 (still limited in this day in age). Somewhere between the two would be great!
Keep up Xero.21 votes -
CIS report - Ability to include tracking
When running the monthly CIS report it would be helpful to include the tracking category, to be able to work out the total liability per department to pay out of each bank account to HMRC

Reconcilliation: Automatically import and reconcile merchant / PDQ transactions
At the moment to reconcile a PDQ payment we have to manual reconcile to the invoice - this means we have to enter the order number and tick them off, we are running at over 300 orders a day so this can take up to 2 hours a day. It would be good to get the list from Elavon's portal and upload to Xero, so to match them automatically - then leaving us needing only to spot any difference.

Reporting - Allow Tracking Reports to be Edited
It would be useful if we were able to edit the layout of the tracking reports so that these can then be included in management accounts and other custom reports.

Reports | Trial Balance - Combined 'Account Code' and 'Description' columns in .CSV
Can you get the new TB to download with the account code and description in the same column as was possible in the old TB. (see attached)
It's a great column to upload into tax software as a description, instead of having to mess about with 2 separate code and description columns.1 vote -

Bank accounts - Note sections for accounts
It would be useful to have some sort of 'notes' section within each bank account. We have several bank accounts for various purposes (mostly to use as 'savings' for various tax liabilities (for example, corporation tax, VAT etc)-but it would be useful, for managing cash and future liabilities to have a notes section to keep track of what is due and when, rather than having to do either run a VAT return or P+L every time I need to remind myself and how much needs to be put aside.

Aged reports - Ability to add SUM formula to Total Column when exported to Excel (like old reports had)
Aged Receivables + Payables reports - Ability to add SUM formula to Total Column when exported to Excel (like old reports had)
1 voteAppreciate your feedback on the change from older reports to new. While we don't have any direct plans for making updates to the formatting of formulas when exporting to excel we have just made some updates to excel export of reports I wanted to highlight for you here, where we've;
- Adjusted the default zoom from 150% to 100%, and slightly change the size of title and currency fonts to make the report easier to read
- Made small changes to the formatting of cells in rows to create more consistency across the report
We'll stay tuned into the support for other changes coming through the site here an let you know if there's any news on this, here.

General ledger with multicurrency
We would like to request that the General Ledger able to generate with currency amount, currency rate and currency balance.
Thank you
2 votesHi Dorothy, is there a particular reason you'd like to see this information in the General Ledger reports? Right now, you could run the Account Transactions report which will give you options to include a range of FX columns if the business is using multi-currency in Xero.

Supplier details report to include e-mail addresses, bank details, terms, e-mail addresses
Additional report: Supplier report to include e-mail addresses, supplier address, bank details, terms,
5 votesHi community, as noted in my earlier update atm you could export your list of suppliers from contacts which will include email and bank details.
Being open, we don't have current plans for expanding on the details represented in this report. We'll continue to gauge the interest of this and share if there's any change.

Purchase orders - Default tax rate to last selected
Purchase orders reset to 'include GST' ever time you start a new PO. Why does it not just remember the last setting like invoicing does. (Or an option to lock it to a setting)
Ability to add more information to invoices like customers phone number or email. It's an option. Saves warehouse staff or anyone having to look up the information. (At this time I use the country for the phone number and contact for the email)

Uncoded statement lines report - Common date formats e.g last month, last quarter, last year
Some xero reports can be run by last month, last quarter, last financial year etc. The above report can only be run by entering specific dates. Could this report have the same pre set date options added? This would be useful for client query lists for monthly/ quarterly BAS Returns, annual accounts/ tax returns etc

Bank Rules - Ability to set defaults for steps of Create rule
When adding a bank rule is it possable to change
No 5 Add rule details to deault to "all accounts" rather than the account you are currently in
A rule set up for fuel will be the same allocation no matter what bank account you are in
Where do you chande the system defaults?2 votesHi Greg, while there's no way to set your own defaults for Bank Rules in Xero.
The existing default will differ depending on where you start the Create rule flow.
- If you're in the process of reconciling your account (via the Reconcile screen or Cash coding) the default for '5. Add rule details > Run this rule on' is the bank account you were reconciling
- On the other-hand if you Create rule from the Bank rules screen, this'll default to 'All bank accounts'
While this isn't something we have plans for at present. Appreciate how you'd like to set up a default regardless of where you start this and have adjust the title of your idea, here and we'll keep an eye on the support for this.

Receivable Invoice Summary - Add 'Due' based on date range of report
Add a "DUE" Column to The new "Customer Invoice Summary" report if it is to replace the "Customer Invoice Report". At the moment the proposed change will remove functionality. We rely on the current Customer Invoice Report to update our cashflow. The proposed "BALANCE" column is not the same as the "DUE" data. "BALANCE" only gives Invoices not paid at end of filtered period rather than what is left to be paid period.
Alternatively..... DO NOT RETIRE THE CUSTOMER INVOICE REPORT!!!!3 votes
