  1. Add a status for the Contact. Active/Administration/On Hold/Prospect - ability to exclude contacts from Aged debtors/creditor reports using this would be useful.

  2. Currently a new supplier is created in your contact list every time a transaction is made which results in too many contacts considering there could be very small items of spend at multiple stores on card etc. I only want to see key repeating suppliers in my contact list.

  3. Hi Xero,
    could you please add a tick box button TPAR reportable in Supplier Contact - when adding new Supplier to have there option to tick "TPAR reportable"?
    It would really help with ATO reporting when working with high volume of Suppliers/Contractors.
    Atm Xero does not have a tab to differentiate between Supplier providing material only and Supplier/Contractor providing service, labour on which we need to file TPAR every year and within a year we are taking on numerous new contractors.

  4. As an Xero customer, I would like to be able to add Instagram as a contact field within organisation details, so that I can easily direct customers to my Instagram page.

    Instagram is becoming more popular than facebook, twitter and websites for certain industries.

    Hi Andrea, if you'd like to have a field to enter your SAP # into you could look to save this as the Item Code for inventory you set up in your org. You can search items from products and services in Xero , and export your inventory items so you'd be able to export all item codes if this is where you save your SAP #. 

    If you're looking for the step further of being able to scan inventory into the system - this isn't something we're looking to develop for and you can see more on this from the idea here 

  6. have a button that allows you to be able to create a payment/receipt from the contact page - so you don't have to go out of the contact to process

  7. It would be handy to be able to customize the view screen on the contacts screen within Xero. Ie add additional columns - a payment column? It would be a lot easier to have a visual of payments received rather than having to click on the invoice or run a statement against the client to see when payment was last received / paid. It would also be handy to have an item column that includes payments. As well as an option to reconfigure the column order, Ie. Date in first column.

  8. XERO Projects, Could contact details i.e email addresses and phone number be assigned to a specific project, these would normally be different from the original company contacts details. This would mean the right persons would receive the invoices or quotes sent from a particular XERO project. Could this be done within the project tab.

  9. Using the new Contracts form, when verifying a subcontractor, you are now asked to enter the CIS Tax Rate (Gross, 20% or 30%) before you verify the subcontractor.
    You cannot save and verify with HMRC unless this field is completed. Without verification, you cannot be certain as to the tax rate.

    The error could occur where you choose a rate for the purpose of being able to 'save and verify'. If the verification failed and you required to speak to the contact, or in most cases wait for HMRC to add a subcontractor to the CIS scheme which is currently…

  10. Contacts. I would like to say the upgraded version of contacts is clunky, and would prefer the older system over this 'new upgraded' system. Having to 'save and exit' before adding all other contact details is adding more steps to an otherwise simple process. Thanks

    Hi Vashte, appreciate change can take a little getting used to.

    However, we can help you out here! While the Save and exit is always available when adding or editing a contact you can simply click through each section. 

    The detail you enter between section will hold until you leave the page - So, you can enter in all your details before selecting Save and exit. 

  11. I work with many architects who request quotes/invoice from our company on behalf of their client
    At the moment we have to create a new contact entry for every client such as
    ABC company on behalf of Fred Bloggs
    ABC company on behalf of Samantha Smith
    If there was an optional field, say "on behalf of" that we could include in the quote/invoice such as
    on behalf of [client name]
    The default would be the same as now
    ABC Company
    However, if the "on behalf of" option was selected a new field would appear in the quote/invoice [Client Name]

  12. Currently, there is not a report which will show all companies in one report with their address, name and opening balances.

    It is frustrating having to individually display/export each contact and then add the balances to the exported document.

    It would be great if this feature could be made available as soon as possible.

    Hi MoGio, if this is for viewing your customers you might find Smart Lists allows you to accomplish what you need? 

    This list can then be exported from your org. 


    It would be good to get more detail on how this data in one view would help your business in it's day-to-days.

From within your contact details or Quote or Invoice - why not have the functionality to communicate to a client via WhatsApp or send the Quote or Invoice via WhatsApp. If you are in the construction industry, acknowledging that not everyone is in construction, the craftsmen you work with only gets to Mail and acceptance of quotes in the evenings. WhatsApp's they respond to easily and quickly ....

  14. We have one contact who is a customer and a supplier. When I go to contacts I can do the report of recent invoices (to them as customer) and also the report for recent bills. But they are both have the same headings - ÏNVOICES. Can you not change the heading of the supplier recent bills report to BILLS.

  16. When you go into a contact, you can see items that are outstanding and what has been paid, but it would be good if there was the 'pdf' icon against the transaction in this screen rather than having to view the item to see the document.

  17. When a Xero customer is creating an invoice for another Xero customer - why not allow this to automatically show up in the Bills section, if the receiver agrees to this. Would save a heap of time and coding.

  18. Could there please be a facility to post journals between contacts (either supplier or customer) for example between BT Telecom and EDF energy
    Currently there is only the facility to post journals between nominal ledger codes.

    Hi Julie, could you explain a little more the scenarios in which you'd be looking to make use of a this sort of functionality?

    At present - if the transactions has originally be assigned to the wrong contact this can be edited. 

    Understanding more of the use case may help us find another solution for you here, although I don't want to be open that we don't have plans for enabling transfers between contacts. 

  19. In our old system, before we moved to Xero, we could highlight special clients (they were a different colour). In our case, they were special because they paid their account off in instalments, instead of paying a lump sum. This made it very easy for us to separate them when we sent invoice reminders to the rest of our clients. How we have to do it in Xero now is clunky and manual. :)
