  2. Xero Tax (UK) Ability to bring across more than 30 Fixed Assets.
    I am really disappointed to find that after entering the Fixed Asset details into the register, Xero Tax only brings across 30. Can this be looked at as manual entry could be time consuming!

    Hi everyone, I wanted to share a further update on this idea. We are now making active steps to deliver a solution for the SA800 and accounts production for unincorporated partnerships. In the interest of transparency, we expect to be able to provide our partners with some of the core features to start using as soon as possible, however this will not be delivered before 31 Jan 2024. We will be moving as quickly as we can whilst also ensuring we're meeting your expectations therefore we can't provide a confirmed delivery date but we will provide further updates when elements are ready for partner testing in 2024.

  4. Make Secondary review points editable and able to be deleted as can the Primary review points. It's an obvious and frustrating omission for Users of Xero Workpapers.

  5. For new suppliers in Hubdoc, the supplier transaction in Hubdoc at the top should continue into the Xero configuration - if it is in the Hubdoc transaction section it should continue to the bottom section in the xero configuration rather than having to enter it as a new supplier in the Xero section. Also it would be easier if xero was just to add the new supplier automatically rather than having to select add new contact every time.

  7. Once the file is uploaded to Hubdoc, it effectively becomes a JPEG once at the review screen, this means you can not copy paste or grab contents from within the document and you will have to either open up the PDF on a separate screen or edit it within Xero.

    It would be great if the description could also be extracted - OR allow the document to be copied/stay a PDF to be able to copy. This will reduce human errors when entering data. Thank you.

  8. Currently the apportionment percentage for the rental is calculated for all income and expenses. However, in reality this is not always the situation. Sage has the ability to change the apportionment of each expense individually as well which is very useful, time-saving and error reducing.

  9. Primary issue:
    If the Accounting Firm wants to maintain control over a client's records and Xero integrations, then only one person can be the one that creates every client in HubDoc.

    Workaround proposed - and the related issue:
    - We were advised to create a dummy account for HubDoc to create the client files. This results in having to share a password - changing it frequently with staff changes.
    - This also is not feasible due to the 2-Factor Authorization requirements
    - This also creates a massive privacy breach risk for unauthorized access under PIPEDA (Canada) and PIPA (Alberta)

  10. Job statuses. Is there a way that when a job moves from one status to the next, it automatically timestamps these movements. It's time consuming having to add a note of these changes.

  11. On the Income Tax workpaper, the first section Tax Provision per P&L has a Less PAYG installments (sic) section.
    Xero prefills the dates (e.g. for 2020 FY workpapers):
    September 2019
    December 2019
    March 2020
    June 2020

    All good so far, you can enter the PAYG Instalments that will be included on the tax return.
    The final line FY20 Tax to pay/(refund) then agrees to the company tax return.

    The second section Balance Sheet Income Tax Reconciliation has a Less PAYG installments (sic) section.

  12. allow quantities to be added direclty to the ledger and then to feed into reporting templates. manualy entered reporting data is fraught with danger and history is lost from year to year, which means we are replugging data every year...current "semi-automated" practice doesnt seem to fit with xero ethos

  15. Has anyone else noticed since they made the dreaded and catastrophic changes in the contact view screen that you can't easily drag and drop attachments anymore?
    Now you have to go to the files tab first and drop it in the predefined window. You used to be able to just drag and drop anywhere in the window and it would attach.

    You also used to be able to add documents from the files section like you still can with the bills and invoices, this feature no longer exists in contacts so now you have to download the document from files…

    We appreciate hearing your feedback on the changes we're making, Fiona. We made an update to the files upload on a contacts record not long ago so you can now attach files that have been uploaded to your files library, like you could before. 


    There is a slight change as you mention where when you'd like to drag & drop a file you'll need to drag it to the box on the screen. It's not something we have plans for changing in the short term but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest in this here and let you know if there are any updates.

    Next to the date of birth in Xero PM, could you do a little thingy so the age calculates and shows there?

  19. It would be useful if there was a section that allocated for notes screenshots to be incorporated into the notes on workpapers for each profit and loss and balance sheet item. This will allow for a screenshot from an email for example to be copied and pasted onto the notes section.
    (as opposed to saving this and then dragging it as a document). These notes should also somehow be linked (similar to documents) to each line item of the profit and loss so that if you ":click" on a notes icon the note pops up and you can make the…

  20. It would be useful to have the ability to mark a document pack as complete even if some of the signatures are missing.

    We have had occasions where trustees refuse to sign via document packs after the clients have already signed. We then have to print the partially signed documents and send hard copies for trustees to sign.

    This leaves the document pack incomplete. The only option available is to cancel the pack, not ideal The ability to mark the pack as complete would be a great addition.
