  1. Hello,

    I would like for Xero to automatically calculate the VAT returns accurately when switching from a VAT scheme to another. Currently, we need to manually adjust the returns to avoid any duplications caused by the transition. There is room for a lot of human error when doing this and I believe this feature is extremely important.

  4. It would be helpful to be able to insert a merge field such as 'Tax Year' into the description of a task. Handy when it comes to preparation of the invoice as not all returns are for the current year.

Given Xero has an IR3 Rental Schedule form and Home Office Work Papers why does the business schedule workpaper only have line by line capability and not a business schedule equivalent to IR's IR3B business schedule? Why is this helpful, it means we have the ability to put in front of the client not only the income and expenses relating to their small enterprise (i.e. usually don't warrant an accounting product) and provides traceability for fixed assets and depreciation claimed.

  6. Currently the apportionment percentage for the rental is calculated for all income and expenses. However, in reality this is not always the situation. Sage has the ability to change the apportionment of each expense individually as well which is very useful, time-saving and error reducing.

  9. We are getting an increasing amount of (sometimes angry) pushback from clients where when we add Administrators to our HQ account, they are automatically given full permissions over any linked client Xero files, as well as all our ledger files. We are a large firm with over 15 Administrators.
    Please give us the ability to CHOOSE, if we want to add all administrators to all files.
    OR
    Create an administrator role that doesnt need to add them as a USER to each client file.

    Imagine you have a Xero file for your own personal business, and suddenly notice 13 people…

  10. Workpapers to run for periods (not just years) and for periods ending not on a month end.

    The majority of my clients have a year end with 5 April. At the moment i would only be able to run the work papers to 31 March. I also have other clients with year end dates throughout the year.

    In addition to this, I can only run the workpapers for a full year. What happens if a business ceases. Often we need to run a set of accounts, and therefore workpapers, for a shorter/longer period.

  12. Report Building - Ability to choose any report from Xero Blue to add to the reports. Especially payroll reports.

    Ideally, I would like to be able to build a set of management reports that include things such as accrued annual leave and long service leave. Annual days to pay on AR, average days to pay per client and other KPI type measurements. Is there away to build out own templates that can go into payroll and other areas of Xero to create these

  16. The R & D Schedule does not automatically pull through the following items in the tax return:

    R & D recoupment amount (Part B -7) - This amount is required to be manually entered on the income tax calculation statement at label M, R & D recoupment tax.

    Total clawback - additional assessable income (Part B - 9) - This amount is required to be manually entered in the reconciliation spreadsheet, Other assessable income, label B

  17. Client Search History: being able to see the clients in XPM that you have searched for recently/previous 24hrs. When needing to go back to a client you recently searched and updated etc and need to go back into same client or cannot remember client name etc. Would have thought this would be 'standard feature' as in other progams we use

  18. The Client Code field is not available in the ITCRPT report. Having the Client Code field available in all reports is a basic key function of any CRM, as it allows for proper data matching between systems, data cleansing, combining reports and analysis. Using the Client Code field across all systems is common practice.

    We are trying to match and combine client lists from other systems to the ITCRPT report in Xero so key data is available for our teams on the one report. This is critical for lodgement management. Yet we are not able to do this, because the…

  19. Could you please add the field “[Tax Return] Suspended Until” to the fields available when you write an “Income Tax Client – ITCRPT” report.

    This would allow a report of all clients we are ATO Agent for showing their tax return due date, status and suspended until date all on one report.

  20. One should be able to create tax returns for Companies that switched their Financials years to calendar year, to avoid late lodgements. For Example, for the companies whose financial year is 1 Jan,2022 to 31 Dec,2022, need to wait till Jun 2023 to file their tax returns
