  1. User & Approval - Having a user that can upload documents & code them. Save the changes but not publish to Xero. Bookkeeper can then check the coding is correct before publishing to Xero or having a approval process where the document is sent to be approved before publishing to Xero, and this would work for purchase orders, invoices & receipts

  2. In Canada it is common to have January 1, 20XX as the fiscal year end date instead of December 31, 20XX. As a result, the Sales Tax Reports are unable to be utilized because even though I can have my fiscal year end matching in Xero, it won't let me run the report based on custom dates - for example, if I have a quarterly filer that has a January 1, 20XX fiscal year end, then the Q1 period is going to be January 2 to April 1 and it would be due May 1 - and not Jan 1…

  3. I would like to request that HubDoc extract bank account and GST Numbers from uploaded invoices and compare the information to the information stored in the contact in formation in Xero.

    Suppliers provide us with their bank account information on each invoice for payment, I'd like to make sure we know if they change their bank account information.

  4. If you create a report in the custom tab rather than the adviser tab in error, it would be good to be able to either lock it so it has as restricted access to that custom report almost as though it's password protected (ie only the creator can see for example) or have the facility for it to be moved to the adviser tab to allow it to have restricted access to advisers only.

  5. GST reminders
    Like the Tax reminders for provisional and student loan but for GST and maybe even PAYE, so if you create and file the GST return though Practice Manger it feeds back info on what is outstanding and what has been paid with the option of sending reminders out to clients on payments due about a week out from the final date.

  8. For the prior year comparable option in Xero - The compare functionality is only on the main forms, but can you include on schedules?? The prior year comparables only seem to appear re the Form C Disclosures, not any accompanying schedules - would love this feature to be so the comparison can be printed out

  9. This is to do with Custom Reports and should be little effort for a good result.

    I note that after discussions with Xero the [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns field is only available in the Client Returns report. It would be great to have [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns in the Tax Return report area so you could generate a report on which returns have been started, in addition to the current status of the ones that have been started (ie Draft, Complete, Lodged) at the moment we can only see if a tax return has been created…

  10. An option to have uploaded files in Ask to be added to Files. Currently have to be downloaded and then uploaded again to Files. It would be more efficient to have the option to add directly to Files

  13. Ability to set the client branding theme in XPM to push across to Xero. This comes from the branding theme set at the client level not working as the firms default branding theme currently is applied to all invoices. By default it should use the branding theme against the clients contact record in Xero as we have set this up but not working as per bottom comment on this help article here: https://central.xero.com/s/article/Set-default-invoice-quote-templates

  14. Mapping - Xero Tax (AU) - Ability to map accounts to more than one field on the tax return.
    ie Wages are included at P8 as a business expense but also needs to be reported at P15.
    It needs to be manually entered at P15, this should be automatically mapped.

  15. to run a report that pulls the History of tax returns into it, including:
    1. Staff member who prepared the return, and date prepared.
    2. Staff member who lodged the return, and date lodged
    Currently if we run the report builder, it only can show account manager's name, it doesn't seem to have the option to show lodgment person's name.

  16. Hubdoc should automatically correct the rotation of documents. Sometimes, particularly for photographs, documents are uploaded with incorrect rotation. Hubdoc must know the correct rotation because it is scanning the text. Why not fix the rotation so that the text is the right way up?

  17. In the bank account tab it would be good to have a tick box where you can select the accounts you want in your report. I have some client with 6 or more different bank accounts. If I only have two with un-coded transactions, being able to tick those two and then run the report would be practical and easier for my clients to follow.

  18. I would love to build out a customizable reporting dashboard for each client, that I could grant specific access to. It could include specific monthly reports, live reports (like a rolling 12 month p&l for example) or widgets with live reports (for AP and AR) like on the current Xero dashboard. Perhaps include some KPI calculations. As an accountant, I could prepare the dashboard for each client's needs, and then email them a link to the dashboard each month when the accounting is updated.
    With a simple dashboard like this I wouldn't be shopping for outside reporting tools like reach…

  19. I believe it would be of great help to extract the Purchase Order code from the invoice into hubdoc.

    It is very important to create a simple path from the begging of creating a purchase order to finally paying for the product or service and having a way to connect it all together, I believe the purchase order number is a vital part of the process and can be referenced throughout the whole process.

    Would be great to hear some feedback on this idea!

  20. Have the ability to bulk remove users. We have just taken over 6 Xero accounts and the previous advisor has 100+ staff members that need to be removed from each account, it's going to take me forever to do this individually.
