  2. I'm using the "Aged Receivables Detail" and "Aged Payables Detail" reports for helping with accruals and prepayments and it would be extremely handy if you could add "payment date" to the report. Currently this isn't available so I'm having to use the report to identify potential accruals/prepayments and then manually go into each transaction to see when it was paid to then decide if it's an accrual or prepayment.. If the paid date was available in the report, this would save so much time.

  3. When a existing company had a year end change, there should be a a option to add the new year end. Currently when you add the new year end, all of the reports change to the new year end.

  4. Workpaper pack queries email template allows for fields to be added as 'tags' but the available fields/tags is too limited. Please include additional fields/tags, such as contacts first name and allow for a different templates for Organisations and Individuals.

  5. Currently Quotes are not able to be sent directly for e-sign acceptance (i.e. clients will need to print physical copy of quote, sign and email back unless they have access to adobe sign). It would be an improvement if quote can be sent to Xero Sign for signing and audit trail. Alternatively, it would also be great if clients can accept/decline from the quote email.

  6. Allow us to access Xero Tax in advance of the year end - company and self assessment - as it stands we cannot even set up the details/schedules we know we will need. In other software you could load up the information before the year end date had passed to give the client an estimate of tax liability as the year progresses. Furthermore, this allows you to load information as you receive it - e.g. Company Director dividends to self assessments as you complete company accounts

  7. Currently the SB Pool Detail report contains a large number of columns and the report appears cramped and difficult to read due to the smaller font size.

    It would be helpful to have the ability to change the column order and remove excess or un-needed columns, as is possible for the other tax and accounting depreciation schedules.

  8. We have multiple Practices with multiple organisations. To add JAX to every single organisation is not even fathomable. A feature that allows users to enable JAX for multiple organisation is needed, it doesn't have to be from Xero HQ, possibly even My Xero would work.

    In the meantime it'll be good to get a sense of other practices that'd find this useful here too.

  9. Currently estimates/quotes require a specific amount of time to be allocated against a specific task for a specific staff member. We need either notifications when total unbilled WIP for a client reaches x amount OR to be able to create a quote/estimate for a total dollar figure across all tasks and staff, and have notifications set when that figure (or % thereof) is reached. This feature is standard in most timekeeping programs and I'm shocked XPM doesn't have it.

  10. The option to filter the reports by tax returns that have been lodged as Final in a certain tax year would be beneficial.
    We could then cross check and archive clients as necessary.
    There are so many fields to choose from in the Fields and Criteria, but this is not one of them.
    It would save us from having to keep a manual list as some can get missed this way.

    We're grateful for your engagement and for this very specific and useful suggestion for reporting in Xero Practice Manager.

    We've reviewed your idea to be able to filter reports by tax returns that have been lodged as 'Final' for a specific year, and it's now open to gain support from other community members. We can definitely see how this filter would streamline end-of-year processes and remove the need to keep manual lists for cross-checking and archiving clients.

    Along with votes, other practices can now comment to share more details on how this reporting criteria would improve their own client management workflows.🙂

  11. The ability to upload bills into Xero is fantastic — it saves a lot of time. However, the process of reviewing and approving bills after upload feels cumbersome.

    Currently, after editing and approving a draft bill, you’re taken back to the main Bills screen, where you then have to click Draft Bills again to open the next one. When processing 15–20 bills at a time, this adds up and slows the workflow considerably.

    It would be much more efficient if, after approving a draft bill, there were an option to return directly to Draft Bills, or ideally, to automatically move…

It would be beneficial for a warning to show to complete label 13U tax losses to be carried forward and/or when a losses schedule is required in a Trust or Company tax return when there has been a tax loss for the current year. This would reduce the risk that this label is inadvertently omitted.

  15. It would be beneficial for the Bank Reconciliation Status to return positive insights as well. I have attached a rough adjustment for the 'Up to date' flag, and I feel the slight CSS value adjustment here makes it more visible that the Bank Reconciliation is in fact up to date.

  16. Make a schedule for allocating partner income and tax credits allocations with a total giving the ability to allocate income on the one page. Currently you have to go into each partner schedule. There is not always an even split of income and with many partner entities it is very time consuming.

  17. The ATO allows businesses to claim the GST on cents per kilometre based on the business Kilometres travelled. The Milage claim in Xero currently does not have any tax category which means milage claims aren't showing on the GST reports and have to manually added to the BAS otherwise businesses are missing out on GST if not added manually.

    For example, If staff travel 100kms for business, then the claim should reflect the following
    100 kms x rate of 88cents (FY2026) totalling to $88. the $88 is inclusive of GST of $8.

    Hi Camilla👋, we understand the importance of being able to track and claim GST on business mileage and appreciate you letting us know this functionality isn't available within Xero. We know that not having this feature causes extra work to manually calculate the GST on mileage claims. While we don't have this feature at the moment, we’d like to acknowledge the workarounds of manually calculating the GST component of the mileage claim and entering this as a separate line item when processing the expense claim. We understand this isn't ideal and adds extra work, but it may help for now. We're still actively monitoring this idea to see how much support it gets from our customers 👀. As always, we'll continue to provide updates as we have them. Please continue to share your feedback and vote for the idea! ✅


  18. It would be important to be able to edit the payment option available for a specific contact. Example: I have an international client that I would prefer if they did not get the option to pay their invoices with credit card. That would be useful to edit this within their contact settings so I don't have to manually change each of their invoices.

    Hey Fanie, thanks for your engagement and for sharing this excellent idea for managing customer payment options.

    We've reviewed your suggestion to be able to set specific payment options within a contact's settings, and it's now open to gain support from other community members. We can definitely see how this would save time by removing the need to manually edit each invoice for certain clients, like your international customer example.

  19. When I create a new Report Pack, I can name it. When I add a custom report, that report shows as the Xero Standard Report Name, not as my Custom Report Name. Please can the Custom Report Name be shown, rather than the Xero Standard Report Name. If I add two different Custom Reports (both based on the Xero Standard Report), I don't know which is which.
