  1. It would be great if ALL users (ie practice staff) in Xero HQ could see all Xero files. It should be obvious on the list which are accessible and which are not (ie if you didn't have access, the Xero org name could be greyed out)

    In terms of access, if a particular staff member did not have access to a Xero file, they should be able to request access from a HQ Administrator (with mange user access of course) which can be granted easily. Would be handy to have a 'Why' comment field so the approver knows the context…

  2. The Chart of Accounts interface within the client's Xero organisation displays a limitation of 200 accounts per page. This necessitates frequent clicks of the 'Next' button, which can be inefficient. It is believed that the Xero Product Team could enhance this feature to allow the display of an unlimited number of accounts on a single page, mirroring the functionality currently available in the Chart of Accounts template within Xero HQ.

    Thanks for sharing in the community here. While we appreciate there are some organisation's that have a large number of accounts, the current 200 limit per page is sufficient for majority of organisations to see their full list of accounts and we don't have plans for extending this.

    1. The functionality to format text with bold, italics, and underlining.

    2. The ability to apply multiple highlight colours to text, as well as different font types and colours.

    3. The retention of multiple paragraphs within the 'Ask' feature is necessary. The current limitation, which merges all paragraphs of a question into a single block of text upon sending queries to clients, may lead to confusion and diminished clarity in communication.

    4. The files that advisors attach to questions currently disappear after clients answer. These files should be retained within the queries to ensure both advisors and clients have a comprehensive view of the…

  3. In Xero HQ, it would be helpful if the "Manage Users" permission were optional for Admin staff—or if there were an additional permission level between "Admin" and "Standard," similar to QBO's "Standard - All Access" role where you can toggle on and off several higher permissions.

  4. I am finding the inconsistent implementation of the new Xero style mixed in with the old incredibly frustrating. The new style screens are slow to load & enter data, the tabbing and typing a few letters then hitting return either doesn't work (add payment) or is inconsistent between screens, entering a new customer on the fly is frustrating because you can't enter all the information at once & still have to open the full contact edit screen to complete it, also the new contact pop up doesn't autopopulate addresses as you type, the send remittance button disappears if you get…

    Hi everyone, sorry we've not responded here sooner. As we upgrade technology we are mindful of the impact this can have for our customers. We understand changing features and learning new flows and the ways of performing some actions can be a big transition for customers.

    In particular, as mentioned in your feedback here with new invoicing. To support as much as possible during this time, we're providing lots of information through means of blogs, education and guides on Xero Central.

    We're also continuing to iterate and develop new features into new invoicing that we know our customers want.

    An example of this are recent improvements we made to the 'Contact' field adding the ability to look up your contact address, edit or add the Attention field, and adding more address lines.

  5. Allow for Bank Transfers between two different currency bank accounts via the Xero API.
    This is a fundamental and common use case for bank transfers, and is available within the product, but not available within the Xero API. Please make this available to your API users and business partners.

  6. Could xero consider reducing the size of text/fonts on the screen. I don't need super extra large enormous text to do my work. Everyone walking past or coming to speak with me can read my screen and see bank details and values, employee names and $ amount and so the list goes on. I have already asked if there can be a bland landing page so that bank accounts (Including balances) are NOT the default screen. Anyone standing nearby can see this information when Xero starts. Both of matters limit confidentiality and most users don't need this sort of exaggerated…

    Thanks for getting back to me on your needs here, Janet. I'll move the idea back to submitted as we don't have direct plans around this atm. We'll get a sense of the interest from the community here and will keep you updated if any progress is planned.

  7. Maybe I'm missing something (integration settings perhaps) but if I enter a personal tax client's details into Xero HQ, then only some of this pushes into Xero Blue and I have to re-enter certain details like client code, email address etc as well as new fields such as sales defaults. Similarly, not all of the data pushes into Xero PM and the UTR/NI number have to be entered again. Is it not possible to have a Xero HQ as the single point of entry which then updates all fields in Xero PM and Xero Blue?

  9. Client Merge popup box needs to be expandable. It wants me to select which client that will merge into from the other (which is irreversible) but I can't expand the popup screen or hover over the fields to see what is written in full to know which one to select.

  10. It would be good if any report you can already run in Xero could be added to a report template - this would include GST reports (activity statement and GST reconciliation), payroll reports etc. That way instead of having to manually extract each of these reports for each client we can just do it in bulk through one report template.

  11. Xero HQ should include a feature called ‘Chart of Report Codes,’ functioning similarly to the Chart of Accounts in Go Xero. This feature would allow Advisors to define and customise Report Codes themseves, rather than relying on Xero's predefined Report Codes, as they possess a deeper understanding of their clients' accounts than Xero. Consequently, Advisors could generate diverse Management Report Pack templates based on different sets of Report Codes configurations to accommodate diverse industries.

  14. Extend the information in Xero HQ to include full client data.
    Information that would be good to see on each client information schedule would be;

    a. VAT registration date, this is required for security with HRMC so needs to be in one place when contacting them.
    b. VAT quarters (We do have clients that don’t use xero and this information is important)
    c. PAYE registration details (Not all clients use Xero payroll and equally flicking between various clients bookkeeping systems when on the phone to HMRC is a bit irritating!)
    d. UTR details for companies

  15. It would be very handy to be able to create a formula in a custom report that could reference a group/custom row that sits within a closed group as sometimes you need these rows in order to drive the formula but they dont add any helpful information to the final report.

  18. Xero HQ report templates overwrite the order of accounts to alphabetical when accessed at a client. The report templates are in the correct part of the financial statement for the client, but then it defaults to alphabetical order. This requires you to change the order for each client, even though it was done at the HQ level.

  19. When entering a number of invoices for the same customer or vendor it would be great not having to reenter the name for each entry. Recommend the ability to "pin" a name for multiple entries under the same name.
