  2. Is it possible to add a few extra columns to XPM - All jobs board rather than creating different reports or clicking on different jobs/pages to collate basic client information. I would like to add the following columns to assist with Trusts and Superfunds.

    -Trustee/Company Name
    -Invoice Number

    Currently, if you invoice a Trust e.g. ABC Family Trust for XYZ Pty Ltd (Trustee), I would like to see both entities in Jobs board and not just ABC Family Trust. This comes in handy when chasing payments or matching jobs as a result in separate jobs linked to a Trust or…

  5. Expose the staff billable rate on the XPM API?

    The billable rate for staff timesheets/tasks aren't available for jobs until they are invoiced, and there's no way for integrations with XPM to understand the in-progress cost of a job without getting the staff billable rate... or if there's an override on the job.

    Thanks for all the detail around the different scenarios a pause function for the timer would help with.


    Our team have been taking interest in ideas in the forums here. 

    With the way the timer works with Practice Manager today, developing the ability to pause this would require extensive work and this isn't something we're able to resource at this time.


    As we enhance integrations through practice manager our practice teams will continue to track ideas on the site here, and share if there's any change.

  7. There could be many possible things to be able to track in there, but I would like to be able to:

    Limit the 'states' shown to things I am directly involved with like 'For review' and 'For Invoicing'.

    My secretary would want to see states that apply to her like 'to sign'.

    Only show 'Priority level' High and Urgent (with the flick of a keystroke)

    Possibly allow some of the functionality in the 'jobs' tab or the report builder to be 'saved' in the dashboard screen like mini tables that update real time?

  9. Some sort of link for each partner so we can have clients sign up with us directly from our website. Alot of my clients sign up for all my services from a link on a website. This would be very beneficial in my opinion. See this one for example with zoho books.

  10. How can I make the client and detail columns wider. It is very restrictive as I cant fully see the client code and description. I know this is a Xero development issue but it would help a lot. It is really convenient to bill from this screen. Also I arrange the clients alphabetically, and when going into a client and see what to bill, when i go back to the WIP list it defaults back to sorting by value.

  11. Recurring job screen in XPM is too narrow. Can't see all of the job name or full dates. Would be good to fill the screen to allow more information to be visible rather than having to click in to each job.

  12. Regarding XPM > BUSINESS > SETTINGS > IMPORT

    can you make the function similar to blue xero bank feed import? Namely,
    - in blue xero, it gives you a preview of what the import file will look like on the bank account before clicking import?

    • one time i mixed up the job name with the client name field. and instead of warning or coming up with the error, it just created new clients upon import. I had to delete so many incorrect clients created from that job import

    - noa refund/payable

    Hi Christopher, few ideas rolled up in the one here. We ask that each idea be separate on the product ideas forum so others in the community know exactly what they're voting for and we can share with the correct product teams, and keep you updated on any progress on the site. 

    Also appreciate you referencing your case numbers with Xero Support however they don't really help others in the community. 

    For your idea on adding more fields to the report - we have another here that you may like to also join and vote on. 

    I'll update your idea here to reflect your second request for being able to open a clients tax return form within Practice Manager. 

    I welcome you to create individual posts for your other 2 ideas here also. 

  14. In tracking summary we can compare revenue and cost if we are using the tracking category as a cost center for any EPC work. Right now there is no option in xero for this reporting.

    In the attached file we have details of cost of sales but no revenue details for the specific job. We can add a column or give a option in the layout edit to add the ledger or group in column to compare.

    It would be helpful to track the revenue and cost of a project with this feature.

  15. 90% of the time when I want to move a timesheet entry it is to a different job for the same client and probably 99% of the time it is to a job for a client in the same group.

    However the "To" list that pops up is for all clients and when you type the first few letters of the client name it appears on the bottom line of the screen so you still usually have to scroll down to find the correct job.

    Is it possible to make all the jobs in the "From" client's group appear first…

    Would it be possible to allow us to import the staff assignment via the CSV import file rather than assigning staff afterwards. Same for the template, category and job state.

    Regarding the bulk staff assignment function, could we add filters and have the columns sort when you click on the column headings of this section please.

    These two short comings is creating a huge delay in annual job creation for routine jobs.

    No we cannot use re-curing jobs as XPM does not have the functionality yet to choose the date on which the re-curing job is created, you…

  18. Provide the ability to schedule requesting on a daily basis the EFT Reconciliation reports in XPM, currently being a manual request locked behind Business settings permissions.
    Provide also the resulting reports in either a Custom Reports area or standard reports so admin staff without the Business Settings permissions can view the ATO EFT reconciliation reports, filtered by date and Tax Agent Number. Possibly add a permission to view these reports as a separate permission.

  19. When you view a contact, and are on the activity view page, it would be great if the each line said what account the activity has been posted against. This way you could see all accounts impacted at once, and not have to click on each individual line item to see what account it is impacting.

  20. In XPM jobs, have the option to view all timesheet narration and time spent in the financial tab. Currently, it only shows the task and time time/cost, but not the narrations. Previous Xero product WorkflowMax had the ability to show all timesheet narration of a job in the financial tab without clicking into the Billing Work Sheet. See attachment 1 for an example.
