  1. When pulling invoices through from Xero to XPM (i.e. to report on fees v.s. costs/budget), it would be much more beneficial if XPM could locate its Job Reference Number within the line item description of an invoice, rather than just the invoice reference field.

    This would mean multiple XPM jobs could be referenced on the same invoice (e.g. 001 Payroll, 002 Accounts, 003 Bookkeeping), as well as mitigating for firms like ours where we also bill other non-relevant monthly services (e.g. HR, Legal services etc.) on the same monthly invoice to a client.

  2. Currently you can only set up one cover page template for tax returns in XPM. We'd like to be able to set up two different cover letters with different branding for each tax return and alternate between the two (i.e. select which cover letter you want for that return) when we are printing the tax return.

  3. Add restriction on changing bank account details for client (in XPM and tax return).
    Given Optus and related fraud - > not all staff should have the ability to update bank account details on a client.
    There should be the ability to restrict this so procedures - eg phone calls to verify etc - can be put in place.

  4. Xero Log on - Alias email address for use with multi practice access.
    Currently working in two accountancy practices with access to Xero but can only have one access to Admin. This means restricted access to one practices clients and having to be added manually to each client.
    I have a generic email address from my Log in so the clients are not aware I work for multiple firms. This has to be explained to the client as it shows in their user list. Also when emailing clients directly from Xero, an alias email has to be created for that…

  11. Xero to automatically log the time you spend in each client and summarise monthly/ average 12 monthly.

    No stop/start. 10 minute auto logout.

    Advantages: no additional work for the user
    Disadvantages: not an exact science.

  12. The 3.1 version of the API only gives UUIDs instead of numeric IDs. I would like to see all URLs on the website accept either UUID or numeric ID. This already seems to be partially supported, but I would like to see full parity with numeric IDs and UUIDs.
     
    E.g. When viewing a client, the url is:
    https://practicemanager.xero.com/Client/{NUMERIC_ID}/Detail
    but the website will handle a uuid here too
    https://practicemanager.xero.com/Client/{UUID}/Detail

    Similarly for a job
    https://app.practicemanager.xero.com/job/jobview.aspx?id={NUMERIC_ID}
    https://app.practicemanager.xero.com/job/jobview.aspx?uuid={UUID}

    But unfortunately viewing a group is only possible with numeric ID
    https://practicemanager.xero.com/Group/{NUMERIC_ID}/Members
    but not as
    https://practicemanager.xero.com/Group/{UUID}/Members

  13. I learned the hard way after bulk importing 1,700 jobs on the wrong template that you could not delete those imported jobs in bulk. I spent 4 hours individually opening each job from a report and deleting.

    It would be great to use job manager to be able to select jobs (assuming they haven't got any time, costs or invoices associated with them) and delete.

  15. We have staff that need to see who the biller client is for a group however we do not want them being able to see staff timesheets.

  17. On the timesheet entry page, allow users to type keywords in the "Job" section and show search results.
    At present you have to click the dropdown, which lists all open jobs, and then find the job you are working on.

  18. XPM Billing - Ability to bill more than the WIP without WIP write-on.

    If XPM allows carrying credits forward for future use against more work in the future, similar to other traditional practice management software, that would be great. For example, Once we completed the job, we sent out the work with our invoice. If we can carry credits of an hour or two for clients to review the work, discuss and send back the signed copy, lodged & sent assessment etc. This additional time can be offset against the credits that we billed more than the WIP so we…

  19. We are in the process of checking all Client details in XPM to ensure they are all complete and up to date. One of the checks that we were doing was to ensure that we had the NZBN numbers of clients recorded. However this appears to be the only client field that you are unable to select when creating a custom report!
    Xero's response to my query was "you may like to add this in as a custom field and input in the NZBN in the custom field section for the clients which will then pull into the report" -…

  20. AUDIT CHECK FOR DIVIDENDS RWT AND IMPUTATION CREDITS IS TOO SENSITIVE - IT IS PICKING UP VERY SMALL ROUNDING AND ALERTING.
    Xero needs to allow for the "rounding" to be accepted - maybe expand the parameters. Unless we go into the return and round it up or down (which is a terrible waste of time) then the alert stays there, and we then get the scenario of anybody looking at the return wondering if there is an error and then they go and check - once again - a terrible waste of time.
