Improve Hubdoc Search feature
Improve the search feature on Hubdoc to be able to search an invoice number, supplier or Xero contact. This will assist in searching for example archived invoices.

Hubdoc supplier link to add payment details etc instead of using search (this has recently been removed)
When you use the cog in Hubdoc to update supplier information e.g. payment terms it use to being up the supplier, but it has recently stopped doing this. Now you have to search for the supplier to update and this takes time and is frustrating, especially as you use to be able to do this. Please put back this facility.

HubDoc | Force sync of chart of accounts
Make a force sync button from Xero to Hubdoc.
E.g. adding a new account in Xero takes a while for it to eventually show in Hubdoc.
Unless you have to disable and reactivate the Xero-Hubdoc linkWhy not a button, that just 'force sync' the new chart of accounts into Hubdoc?

Tax settings defaults
When entering line items it would be useful to have a way to default the tax settings - default the GST rate, & default the inclusive/exclusive setting. Would save time on the majority of tasks and need changing on a few

Hubdoc - Don't automatically sign out after 30 minutes
It's maddening having to sign in to Hubdoc so many times when I'm only using it sporadically throughout the day

Hubdoc - Option to post receive money
Hubdoc. Options to post to Xero are Purchase, Spend money, Invoice (AP) and credit note.
Can we have a received money option as well please so that I can enter say bar takings from an end of day till report straight to the Tills cash reconciliation report.?2 votes -
Ability to move invoices between entities, within Hubdoc
We have a group of entities, all on Hubdoc.
To save having to communicate with all suppliers which individual email they should use, we would prefer our group invoicing email to bring invoices into a central area on Hubdoc, so the invoices can then be dragged into the relevant entities2 votes -
Hubdoc app - saving Tags
In the Hubdoc app, to add a tag/tracking category requires opening to a new screen, selecting the tag, then going back to the original screen to Save the tag.
1. Can we have the Tags available to select on the first screen as soon as we add the image;
2. Can we have tags autosaving;
3. Failing that, add a Save button on the Tags screen so we don't need to go through three screens just to add a tag?1 vote -
Hubdoc app - Rename 'tags' to 'tracking'
The Hubdoc app uses 'Tags' rather than 'Tracking Categories' - can we make the names consistent across the various Xero systems to reduce confusion?
1 voteHi Vicki, while Xero acquired Hubdoc, these are still two quite separate products. We don't have any plans for renaming tags in Hubdoc, or vice versa for Tracking in Xero. We'll get a sense of the interest for this here, however I do want just want to be open from the get go that this isn't in our plans.

Hubdoc - Auto-Archive for specific supplier
I would like to set an 'auto archive' rule at a supplier level. This would be useful for expense which have a bank rule set up in Xero. Eg Xero subscription bills, other subscription invoices.

New invoicing - Add comments and signature to invoices
Would it be possible to be able to have the ability to add comments or a signature to an invoice to allow the user / approver to see that an invoice has been approved or where it is required to be coded?
This could be at the Hubdoc or Xero stage of the process.
The comments may also reference particular details around the what the invoice actually relates to. ie. new engine for a truck. A comment would allow you to make note of what truck and the rego number.
2 votesHi Melissa, the history & notes of an invoice could be used for this. There'll be an entry when the invoice is approved and who approved it, and if extra notes are required this could be added as a note to the history of the invoice. Does this suffice for what you're after?

Xero Files - Ability to transfer to Hubdoc
The ability to bulk transfer documents a client has uploaded in FILES section of Xero to Hubdoc so we can utilise the OCR and automation of documents into Xero better

Hubdoc - Failed tab notification dot
It would be really helpful if there was a way of adding a notification dot on the "failed" tab in Hubdocs to alert the user to any documents that have not been published. We have often had documents that have failed but forget to look on the failed tab. A reminder dot would be so helpful and probably quite easy to install into the programme. Is this possible please?

Hubdoc - Increase upload file size
Currently the file sizes generated in uploading receipts is unnecessary large - I often see 3Mb for a coffee receipt! This is problematic when onward charging expenses to customers (and requires manually resizing before adding to an invpice which is time consuming) and must be costing you a fortune in data storage. Why isn't the file size limited to a sensible size or at least configurable by the user?

Hubdoc - Include email header details (From, To, Subject, Date)
When an email is forwarded to Hubdoc, only the body of the email is captured (if you have that option ticked in the settings). We need the full email sent to Hubdoc captured in the document created by Hubdoc, ie please include the email fields FROM, TO, SUBJECT, DATE as well as the body of the email, ie the full email that was sent to Hubdoc. Often we have to reply to the email that has been sent and we only have access to the version sent to Hubdoc as the original email is often sent to the clients email…

Hubdoc- time stamp
It would be good if Hubdoc created a short cut key (e.g CTRL + D) which allowed you to enter in a timestamp. This would be really helpful in the notes section when multiple people are leaving notes on a document

Hubdoc - Accountant Invoices - Include accounts with $0
The invoices provided in our Hubdoc account do not contain all accounts for all clients on our console as some are included with a Xero subscription and/or comped. Would it be possible to have them included on the invoice at a $0 cost?

Hubdoc - Allow publishing of $0.00 bills
Not an idea really but a bug which needs fixing.
A lot of suppliers like FedEx for example send $0 bills which HubDoc is unable to publish to Xero as the Tax and Subtotal amounts is calculated wrongly despite the bill's Total Amount of $0.00 being correctly detected. As a result the invoice cannot be published to Xero.6 votes
