Not only hubdoc but expenses also would be handy to link to projects.

It would be great to have this feature added

Without this feature Hubdoc becomes useless and more time consuming when operating using Xero Projects as I have to submit in Hubdoc and then go into Xero and amend each transaction

Xero Projects is completely useless without this feature. Hubdoc is heavily promoted with Xero, but if you are using projects you have to either enter invoices in manually - which is time wasting, or you have to push through hubdoc and then edit and assign to a project. I have just had a client from QBO, who i convinced to come across to Xero, who has just gone back to QBO, simply because of this feature. critical issue

The ability to assign bills to Projects from hubdoc.

I currently have to save the bill as draft in hubdoc and reopen in xero to assign line items to a project. Surely a simple fix could save a lot of people a lot of time.

We work on project costing and it is a waste of time checking and cross checking to ensure that project information is updated after the invoice has been transferred to Xero

The ability to assign project costs at point of entry in Hubdoc will remove the requirement to log into Xero and reopen invoices and assign the project resulting in cost savings in time. Without this ability it is quicker to upload straight into Xero and code the invoice directly.

I've been on hubdoc for a while now, I just signed up to xero projects in the hopes it would help fill some gaps I find in Xero's features.

This not being integrated, seems like a bizarre omission.

As from what I can see, Xero doesn't really reply to these threads, does anyone else in the comments have recommendations of other tools that could speed things up?

I want to assign expenses to a project, without necessarily trying to bill the client for every little expense.

The purpose of us using Hubdocs is that it interfaces with Xero automatically, bypassing us having to go into the bill in xero as we can reconcile in the bank section
but in order to use projects we must now enter the bill and edit
this would make my life and im sure lots of others much easier and a smoother experience with xero

i would rly appreciate it if you were able to try to resolve it

This idea was raised back in April of 2022. When can we expect this feature to be integrated? It seems there is an opportunity here for Xero to enhance what they offer customers .. otherwise we will start looking elsewhere to find software that better suits our needs.

Not having this feature is really limiting me in recommending Xero projects. Having to edit bills again on Xero is time consuming and frustrating.

Seems this has been a request for a long time now. @Hubdoc @Xero where are we at with this?

If anyone has commented on this in the past would you please get your team to also comment. Let's make this happen! Hopefully our voices are being heard to someone out there.

This is critical even with smaller businesses. There is a large volume of small transactions, and it becomes a headache having to touch each transaction 2 to 3 times solely because we can assign a project upfront.

To be able to assign to a project in hubdoc would save SO MUCH time in data input.

This would be a huge asset to include with hubdoc and level up with competitors

A really good idea and upgrade but lost in the noise of distraction. No prizes for guessing what they are distracted with current flow

I tried the projects function on Xero is awful. It seems to be such a Mickey mouse function that isn't slick at all. Ie raising journals for wages. I still work with tracking categories and keeping the active projects to a minimum so we can use double entry as you should with reporting of the P&L and transactions per tracking category. Otherwise Xero is great and definitely beats sage 50 and Quickbooks for sure.

cant believe this is not something that is already sorted.

We are just starting to use projects in Xero which will save us time in our project analysis and further time would be saved if we could allocate costs via bills that come through Hubdoc.
