Xero HQ - Transfer/copy reports between practices & organisations
Ability to transfer customised reports between practices or other businesses. Currently this is not possible so if a client changes accounting practices then reports do not follow. This is expensive for the client for reports to be redone and totally unnecessary given that all the formatting necessary already exists on another system.

This is long overdue.

I definitely need this! It would save so much time and deliver more reliable consistency accross mutliple organisations.

Upvoting, simple feature - surprised it's not available

There must be a way to transfer practice created reports to client level. My client is insisting that they have access to the financial reporting pack I've built for them, and for me to tell the client that Xero can't give them access to their financial statements which would allow them to complete their reporting requirements

I would support this entirely. I spent a long time making a report match the Diocesan preferred format and now that I have a second church as a client will have to repeat the work for no value to me or the church - it would be a very helpful feature. At least to be able to transfer onto the Practice and then make available to multiple clients.

I have a group of 150+ clients that all want the same report that was standard from the previous accounting software. I now have to recreate that as a custom report in every single Xero shell for each of these clients. It is very time consuming and having the ability to share a custom report template across all of these clients would be a tremendous time saver and asset to my services.

We have set up a subsidiary and I want it to report in exactly the same way which will, inter alia, make consolidation easier

I set up exactly the same question myself in 2022

I used to be able to do this, but not any more, It is critically impacting my reporting set up for my multi franchise customers

I have the same problem, I swear all my custom reports used to be available to me to use in other organisations but they are gone. I have 4 clients who are in the same business, same structure, same COC and I swear I used to be able to use the same custom report for all 4. Recreating the report in the practice doesn't work as the COC is not the same and having to redo it 4 times is so annoying, is this a change from Xero?

It seems a waste of effort having to recreate the same formats across a group of entities.

also needed!! ridiculous ive had to make 14 of the same reports

It would be good if one could use a report in one practice and copy it into a second practice so that you don't need to recreate the report.

This functionality was available in the previous version of reports so very frustrating it has been removed in the 'upgrade'. Please rectify this ASAP, Xero!

I would love to also move reports from one xer organisation to another especially within a group of companies

Including ability to create the custom report at partner level and bring into the client organisation level as a default report for Profit and Loss or Balance Sheet.

I agree that this will be a useful feature.

Example of where this functionality would help is a group with multiple entities, that wants to run the same management reports for all of their entities out of Xero.

We have 3 organizations in xero. I created a custom report in one organization and I would like to copy that custom layout/report to the other organizations.

There are many, many times when this functionality would have been appreciated. It is a waste of everyone's time when you have to reinvent the wheel for other organisations when a report already exists elsewhere.
