A link between spouses to automatically update joint income so as to avoid posting the same information on each return and reduce the time spent on each return

Hi everyone, thanks for the continued engagement and support in this idea.

While this is something we'll keep reviewing for Xero Tax(UK) there are no plans for adding spouse links right now.

If there's any development planned for this in Xero Tax(UK) we'll be sure to share an update with you all, on this idea.

Hey community – just popping back in to re-open this idea 😊

Our previous update confirmed this was possible for users in Australia, however the bulk of this group is based in the UK, where this feature is not available.

As such, we’ll be shifting this back to ‘Submitted’ to continue to collect votes around this feature in a UK Tax context.

Hi team, as noted in my last update – if you’ve added the relationship between spouses in their Client records information from one spouses return will update the other when the return is opened or the browser is refreshed.

Most ‘income’ fields of the individual income tax return are pre-filed from the ATO.

Being open there are no plans to add this sort of information at the organisation level.

Please improve the spouse link as there has been several times where the spouse income details are not populated in the tab CX0015092095

IT DOES NOT WORK

Even as an Australia user, I had to go into XPM and DELETE the link between Spouses and re-link them to get the tax return to update. It may have possibly updated on it's own, given enough time, but I CANNOT AFFORD TO JUST SIT AROUND WAITING FOR THE PROGRAM TO POSSIBLY UPDATE IN THE BACKGROUND.

FIX YOUR BROKEN SOFTWARE.

This exists if you have Xero Tax and XPM using the Spouse relationship. Perhaps this feature is missing from the Xero-tax only systems?
