Currently, Xero only lets us archive the returns that are already filed (or are in the filed status).

There are scenarios, when the clients come in to do the tax return- we need more information and client does not respond. We do have an option of suspending the returns- however, these returns will still be left in draft making the draft tax returns list unnecessarily longer.

Xero is not currently allowing us to archive the returns that are in the draft status. Either we have to mark the return as 'filed' before it can be archived or these have to be deleted. We cannot really mark them as 'filed' as it may create a confusion in the future. And if we delete those returns and client pops in next year wanting to complete that same return, we would have to do it from the scratch.

Is there any way to deal with the above issue? I believe a simple solution would be to allow 'archive function' for the returns that are in the 'draft' tab and if we need it in the future, we can simply bring it back to the draft and start from there.
