Reporting - Hiding archived accounts from chart of accounts list when customising report layouts

Hiding archived accounts from chart of accounts list when customising report layouts, perhaps with a tick box to show or hide the archived accounts. It makes the job of customising layouts so tedious when the old messy chart of accounts come up every time and you can’t hide the archived accounts!

    ALL reports should have the tock box option to hide/show archived and/or inactive items.
    This is an issued not just for CoA but also Pay Items, Employees, etc etc

    It is so frustrating trying to make custom reports with the prior accountants archived COA displaying - please fix this, why can we elect to hide archived accounts in account transactions but not in the reports? so annoying!

    Any action yet ? This is the most annoying feature of Xero that when you archive accounts they just still hang around.

    Oh my gosh. This is diabolical. Please fix ASAP! I am having to view codes that were archived 5+ years ago and navigate around them in my report building, and we are talking tonnes of codes.

    We shouldnt need to have to vote on something so necessary, it should be in place already! agree it is very time consuming when customising report layouts

    Agree - Accounts are archived for a reason. We dont need them anymore. Why do they display on drop downs??

    There is an option to hide archived accounts on the accounts transaction report, but this does not hide it from drop down selections when selecting account for drop down lists when entering transactions and journals, as well as when doing a customised report.

    This makes no sense. As I said, it is archived for a reason. We no longer need it. There is the ability to restore in the future, so why do we need to see it unless restored or made active again??

    Totally agree. Logged a support ticket with Xero thinking it was just me but nope. On positive note though they did refer me to this article/request to add my voice. Hopefully the PTB's will action it.

    Completely agree. This feature request is listed like ten separate times on the ideas page here. Xero support should aggregate these like requests and the votes that go with them so that there is an accurate representation of this need. Honestly, this is not a new feature request, it is a request to fix the poorly implemented existing feature where archived accounts are not automatically hidden.

    I agree. This is very time consuming when customising report layouts. It would also be great to see the $ values of accounts when customising reports
