  1. GST Rec - 2 Simple ideas.

    1. In the GST Rec report you could add drop down dates (as you have in the other reports) so you can easily pick the prior financial year as an option rather than having to pick the dates.

    2. A GST report that showed the late claims that relate to the prior financial year.

  2. After the lock dates is set, xero should prompt advisors to alert them when they try to edit anything before the lock dates, and let the advisors to confirm that they really want to edit the transaction before the lock dates.

  3. It would be a great help if you could insert a field into the activity page which includes the property address that the invoice is for, so that this would be clear which property the invoice relates to rather than having to go into each invoice to see which property it is for.

  4. It would be great if we could have repeating queries on Xero Ask so that it will automatically send queries requesting year end information or VAT return records without any human input. It would save a lot on admin time and give Xero accountants an edge.

  5. Home page or landing page -- can you put the "go to xero" button on the left of the client's name? The new page makes it so I have to scroll so far to the right to get to those buttons, that I no longer know which client is on which line of the table. It is harder to log in and go directly to my client's books now.

  6. Add a custom column similar to a custom row into reports.

    This would be used to include quantities for livestock reports, for automating % of trust distributions payable to beneficiaries prior end of June.

    This currently can't be done in reports.

  7. Would be useful for tracking purposes to have ability of exporting clients list together with table informing who is subscriber. At the moment even filter like that cannot be applied to display clients in Xero HQ.

  8. It would be extremely helpful if there was an option to set multiple lock dates for various clients at once, so that we don't have to go into each client separately each month. It would also be helpful to have this option on Xero HQ with a view to their current locked period as well.

  10. Currently the report's filters only available to filter thing that " contain " in the respective categories. Can you please also include the option "do not contain" - so that we could produce report to omit things that we would not wish to include. Thank you

  13. Be able to see the email body of the document pack that was sent or alternatively a copy of the document pack sent to the staff member who sent it to the client so that there is a record of what the email body contained.

    Looks like your idea my have been cut off here, Oliver - Is there any more detail you'd like to share with this? While the Income by Contact report will show totals, you can easily click on an amount which will drill down to the contact activity for that period.


  15. Xero HQ Should have functionality to generate Ledger, profit and loss account and balance sheet for all the clients in one go under sitting under practice. This will help to understand clients business performance etc and will make peer comparison easier.

  16. We need a transaction list for all contact where the unapplied payment amount reflects. It is very difficult to compare our Xero statement with transaction list from a supplier (or debtor for that matter) if you have to export the Xero report on the contact to be able to add up all applied payments and then only be able to compare statements.
    The Contact summary Report should have the option of seeing the report with applied payments or show the payment amount as it came (or was paid out) to suppliers / customers.

    Hi Elmie, just trying to understand your idea here a little better - when you mention 'unapplied payment amount' would this be an amount that's been paid by your customer but hasn't yet been applied to the invoice, or the outstanding amount of an invoice once payment has been applied ?

  17. Sync all data to Xero HQ.

    We have been moved over to single client record and need notes and custom fields to be synced as well please.

    This would prevent the need to manually update client records and prevent risk of out of date data.

    Thanks for contributing to this idea, everyone. As part of the single client record we've recently made a change so now when you record a client note in Xero HQ or Xero Practice Manager each system are now reflected in the other.

    We appreciate there is a second part of the idea here surrounding custom fields. Custom fields are being developed with current work the team have underway, and eventually you'll be able to see custom fields reflected in both systems (Xero HQ and XPM), too. We'll keep you updated of further news for this here. 

  18. Ask Queries - Automated reminders
    The ability to have automated reminders on Ask queries would save substantial time (and reduce likelihood of things getting forgotten) and reduce likelihood of having to go to an alternative paid app in order to get this functionality (eg ContentSnare)

I reckon Xero HQ - client group is an excellent avenue for sending bulk information, or request information, however, apparently when generate a new Bulk Query for the group, it's becoming difficult to allocate the particular group. the XPM group information sync with Xero HQ, in our instance, there are over 350 groups, and the search function for the group, appears is not working.

  20. It is not currently possible to use Report Fields in a group heading in reports.

    We spend time setting up shareholder and director names in Report Fields but they can only be used in text blocks, not group headings in reports. If we could use Report Fields in group headings we could make report templates, such as the schedule of shareholder current accounts, more dynamic and automatic. See the screenshot attached for an example.
