  1. Allow users to add columns for Partner, Manager, Client Group, Xero file type and subscription owner.
    We have staff that work for a particular Partner's clients. It would be great to be able to filter the client list by all of the above information so that they can be easily identified for updating new staff permissions.

  2. The ability to filter by "Org access" in Xero HQ to show only the Xero files a staff member has access to, and exclude clients they only have Xero HQ Edit rights for.

  3. Bank connections page allowing you to view all clients' bank feed statuses in one central location and easily update the connections for your clients in one go rather than navigating to each client’s account.

    FreeAgent now has this ability, so will Xero follow suit and save hours if not days reconnecting bank feeds? https://www.freeagent.com/blog/industry-first-in-banking-1/

  4. Enable the ability to generate a report that includes users for each client organisation that includes users who are not staff members so that you can quickly see if the correct and relevant people are accessing the Xero file and know if you need to remove users who shouldn't be there.

  5. I’d like to suggest enabling the ability to fetch bank statements and check images directly, especially since Xero already offers a bank feed feature.

    QuickBooks Online (QBO) includes this functionality, where statements and checks are automatically retrieved and saved in the file section. It would be helpful to have a similar feature in Xero.

  6. Have the option to print checks by First Name, Last Name or the other way around rather than according to how contacts are put in. For the contact list, people like LName, FName. For check printing, people prefer FName, LName. I know you can go in and manually override it, but it would be nice to have an automatic selection of how you prefer it.

  7. Problem: When you add a new account to your COA or if your COA gets out of sort, you have to edit every P & L report.
    Wish: To be able to edit once on the COA and have it automatically update all of the P & L reports based on how the COA is set up.

  8. It would be useful if Xero could show when a subcontractor is verified with HMRC, due to the two year verification rule.

    If the date of verification could be shown on a report that would be great, then it would be easy to identify if a re-verification is required.

  9. Archiving a client with a Xero Ledger/Plan seems almost too easy as there is no warning to prompt you to cancel the subscription/or remove yourself as a user - So you could end up paying for a Xero Ledger/plan indefinitely and not know.

    As an example, we discovered 20+ entities that had been archived in XPM/XeroHQ but not cancelled in Xero.

    There is currently no way to easily find out if any active ledgers/plans are on the Archived list (which thanks to the Xero Single Client Record Process we now have 3,000+ archived clients) as you

  12. It would be great if we could have repeating queries on Xero Ask so that it will automatically send queries requesting year end information or VAT return records without any human input. It would save a lot on admin time and give Xero accountants an edge.

  13. It would be extremely useful if the Account Transactions download included the description that is entered into the invoice posting. Currently the download description is simply the contact name plus the transaction type. Also please can the download also include Quantity. It isn't easy to produce a report that shows sales in a particular unit of measure which covers all transaction types. For example the Receivable Invoice Detail report does show quantities, but this does not include Receive Money transactions (where a sales invoice has not been posted)

  14. In the last financial year, we made multiple and significant layout changes to the accounting schedules in our financial notes.
    Therefore, we intend to 'Copy and Edit' most of our financial reports. However, we have found that when you 'edit layout' it removes the date field codes in our numbered notes regardless of if you edit the number notes or not - therefore losing it's auto updating feature.
    As a result, we are now having to manually update the year in all of our financials, or start from scratch.
    Please make it so edit layout does not remove date fields…

  15. I’d like to suggest adding an automated feature for populating dates in the Company Minutes, using the reporting date as a reference. This would eliminate the need to manually update dates throughout the document, saving time and reducing errors.

  16. Please add a column in Xero HQ, not unlike "unreconciled items" that notes the STP status of connected Xero organisations. Options to flag in this column are "STP 2 not setup", "[Year] Finalisation outstanding".

  19. We are trying to move all client records to Xero away from a different software provider but we need custom fields that we have built in Xero Practice Manager to be synced with Xero HQ please. This way we will be able to filter our clients using the custom fields that we have created which will then match what we can do in the software that we are trying to move away from.

  20. AML Name List screening:

    As it is a known fact that accountants and bookkeepers must screen or conduct name list screening for individual owner that control >25% share of the company. I my former software Nomisma and Capium, accountant can conduct name list screening within the system without the need for additional subscription.
    Once the name list screening is conducted, the result is saved under the individual.
    I believe if this implemented in Xero it will make Xero one-stop-shop without the need for using other software.
