  1. Recurring job screen in XPM is too narrow. Can't see all of the job name or full dates. Would be good to fill the screen to allow more information to be visible rather than having to click in to each job.

  2. Please link the phone numbers in XPM so that when they are clicked they open up our VOIP phone system like it does in Google or many other programs.

    This would save a lot of time and wrong number calls.

  3. Regarding XPM > BUSINESS > SETTINGS > IMPORT

    can you make the function similar to blue xero bank feed import? Namely,
    - in blue xero, it gives you a preview of what the import file will look like on the bank account before clicking import?

    • one time i mixed up the job name with the client name field. and instead of warning or coming up with the error, it just created new clients upon import. I had to delete so many incorrect clients created from that job import

  4. 1/ we want a green xero report showing
    - relationship (director of, partner of, etc)
    - green xero tax refund/payable
    - noa refund/payable
    - noa received or not

    2/ we want to open the tax return form itself in the green xero custom reports. So far you can only open the client profile. (CX0015076350)

    3/ can you make all date columns in dd/mm/yyyy format instead of having to export to csv to achieve this? (CX0015075617)

    Hi Christopher, few ideas rolled up in the one here. We ask that each idea be separate on the product ideas forum so others in the community know exactly what they're voting for and we can share with the correct product teams, and keep you updated on any progress on the site. 

    Also appreciate you referencing your case numbers with Xero Support however they don't really help others in the community. 

    For your idea on adding more fields to the report - we have another here that you may like to also join and vote on. 

    I'll update your idea here to reflect your second request for being able to open a clients tax return form within Practice Manager.

  5. In tracking summary we can compare revenue and cost if we are using the tracking category as a cost center for any EPC work. Right now there is no option in xero for this reporting.

    In the attached file we have details of cost of sales but no revenue details for the specific job. We can add a column or give a option in the layout edit to add the ledger or group in column to compare.

    It would be helpful to track the revenue and cost of a project with this feature.

  6. As a dedicated Xero partner, I've been leveraging the capabilities of the XPM Suite in conjunction with Seamlss to manage and streamline my operations. While the current integration offers a range of functionalities, I've observed that the existing API limitations are hindering our efficiency.

    One of the most pressing concerns is the manual transfer of sensitive client data, especially Bank Details. My administrative team often finds themselves in the tedious and risky position of copying and pasting this critical information due to the API constraints. This not only consumes valuable time but also poses potential security risks.

    Thanks for all the detail around the different scenarios a pause function for the timer would help with.


    Our team have been taking interest in ideas in the forums here. 

    With the way the timer works with Practice Manager today, developing the ability to pause this would require extensive work and this isn't something we're able to resource at this time.


    As we enhance integrations through practice manager our practice teams will continue to track ideas on the site here, and share if there's any change.

  8. 90% of the time when I want to move a timesheet entry it is to a different job for the same client and probably 99% of the time it is to a job for a client in the same group.

    However the "To" list that pops up is for all clients and when you type the first few letters of the client name it appears on the bottom line of the screen so you still usually have to scroll down to find the correct job.

    Is it possible to make all the jobs in the "From" client's group appear first…

  9. You have 4 other online cloud document management systems listed via XPM. We use SharePoint and would request this to be added as a further option to link our programs for efficiency and easy of use.

    We would then like tasks to be setup in jobs, that we can "link" documents in Sharepoint, to tasks/jobs in XPM.

  11. Good day,

    Would it be possible to allow us to import the staff assignment via the CSV import file rather than assigning staff afterwards. Same for the template, category and job state.

    Regarding the bulk staff assignment function, could we add filters and have the columns sort when you click on the column headings of this section please.

    These two short comings is creating a huge delay in annual job creation for routine jobs.

    No we cannot use re-curing jobs as XPM does not have the functionality yet to choose the date on which the re-curing job is created, you…

  12. Provide the ability to schedule requesting on a daily basis the EFT Reconciliation reports in XPM, currently being a manual request locked behind Business settings permissions.
    Provide also the resulting reports in either a Custom Reports area or standard reports so admin staff without the Business Settings permissions can view the ATO EFT reconciliation reports, filtered by date and Tax Agent Number. Possibly add a permission to view these reports as a separate permission.

  13. When you view a contact, and are on the activity view page, it would be great if the each line said what account the activity has been posted against. This way you could see all accounts impacted at once, and not have to click on each individual line item to see what account it is impacting.

  14. In XPM jobs, have the option to view all timesheet narration and time spent in the financial tab. Currently, it only shows the task and time time/cost, but not the narrations. Previous Xero product WorkflowMax had the ability to show all timesheet narration of a job in the financial tab without clicking into the Billing Work Sheet. See attachment 1 for an example.

  16. Since the creation of the new Job Manager, we are now unable to bulk add new staff members to staff allocations within a job.

    You can bulk add the jobs, but then you need to manually do the job allocations for each job

    When you have a new staff member and you want to assign them to 300 jobs, it would make it easier if we could do this in bulk rather than on a job by job basis.

  17. We wish to undertake analysis by looking for the data contained in the "TIME PRODUCTIVITY - % Billable v Non-Billable Time - Staff Summary" report on a monthly basis in a tabular format.
    Unfortunately even though this report is called a "Table Report", XPM does not allow for the year to date date range to be entered but then have the data populate in the report on a monthly basis. Such a feature would greatly enhance a practice's capability of keeping an eye on the operational data for service firms like accounting and legal practices

  19. At the moment, within XPM staff permissions, there is either full access for managing invoices (view, edit, create and delete invoices), or nothing. Staff should have access to view previous invoices for tax return preparation, but not necessarily the permission to edit, create or delete invoices. Would like more access granularity for this feature.
