  1. There is the option of adding Groups as a taxable group, however if the option is not selected client members of that group still pull through as related parties when adding a new return. The ability to use multiple Groups would be a great driver for "advisory" automations in 3rd party software if it didn't have that adverse outcome. Enhancement request - adding a tax return the related clients should only pull through members of the taxable group and exclude members of the "advisory" group.

  3. Delete Multiple Jobs. When you want to cancel/delete a job, you have to do this one by one. This is okay but if you have like 30 BAS jobs from x client, it is a pain to delete one by one.

  4. Currently you can only set up one cover page template for tax returns in XPM. We'd like to be able to set up two different cover letters with different branding for each tax return and alternate between the two (i.e. select which cover letter you want for that return) when we are printing the tax return.

  5. GST reminders
    Like the Tax reminders for provisional and student loan but for GST and maybe even PAYE, so if you create and file the GST return though Practice Manger it feeds back info on what is outstanding and what has been paid with the option of sending reminders out to clients on payments due about a week out from the final date.

  6. Report that can generate invoices per JOB manager.
    Currently there is no report that can generate these data in the report builder.

    Report that contains the following data:

    • Invoice Date
    • Invoice No
    • Client
    • Job Number or Job Summary
    • Invoiced Amount (GST exclusive)
    • Job Manager (not the account manager)

    we tried to generate using the data above using the WIP ledger per staff but when we add all of them, it does not equal the report generated through Invoice Report.
    This will be useful when you would like to see how much each staff invoiced per month.

  7. If you have your firm time billing set to round up then all of the reports - even actual time reports, report the rounded hours and not the actual minutes worked. This is really inaccurate and makes it really difficult for me to get a good gauge on employee billing and performance. Please look at amending any reports using a rounded time figure that should be actual time.

    In addition and also critical to this issue XPM timesheets for payroll but I am also pretty certain that if you are using XPM timesheets for your payroll it pulls/exports the rounded…

    A functionality (app) that can scan a manual handwritten timesheet from a notebook and enter the time spent into XPM timesheet, for people who prefer manually writing timesheets in a notebook.

    HI Sally, jumping back on your idea here our team are working on providing more flexibility to the info you view from Job Manager.

    Right now, we're developing columns for Staff, Manager and Partners. Around the same time we expect to deliver these additions, we'll also enable you to hide detail you'd prefer not to view. So, you can decide and only see the information relevant for you when viewing Jobs.

    We'll return to share more when this is available🙂

  11. We are in the process of organizing our client list for Audit Shield and like many other accounting firms we need to assign our clients a Turnover category. Currently Xero informs me there is no report I can run that will list the clients and their turnover for me to easily identify which category to assign to the client for audit purposes.

    A report that shows the client, their income/turnover and the possibility to group and total buy the Client Group would be amazing and save so much unnecessary admin time.

  13. The search was recently changed so you could search by client, but now if I search for 'GST' it will bring up all jobs with GST even in the description (i.e. a bunch of annual accounts and other jobs). Can the search be limited to Job Name rather than the detailed description in the job?

    We're enjoying the new Job Manager screen in XPM but would love it even more if there was a value column added to show the $$ amount of the time budget. For example, it's great to know there's still 30% available time but what amount is left and more importantly if the time budget is 115% what is the amount over budget.

  15. It would be handy to be able to select (and deselect) in bulk when adding fields to a custom report. Currently, you can only select one item at a time from a dropdown list. It becomes very confusing when adding multiple fields, particularly when you have to keep scrolling down to find the field that you need. Also, it is difficult to determine which fields have been added etc.
    it would be useful to have checkbox function to select and deselect the required fields.

  16. Change Capacity under Settings/Practice to allow for Saturday and Sunday so that on the Dashboard for Time Summary the time entered on Saturday and Sunday shows and is reflected in the Productivity circle on the Dashboard

  17. At present it is not possible to provide a quote to a group. Eg Joe Bloggs has a company, trust, partnership and smsf and his wife and kids. We want to provide a quote for the group however XPM only allows the quote to be done for the one client.

  20. It would save so much time if we could prefill year into the job name when we create a new job, and client name into the description so that when the description prefills into the invoice it specifies the entity.
