  2. Some banks require the ABN or ACN to be present on all pages of the Financial Reports supplied to them. Currently, the only way to do this is to export the report to Excel and then painstakingly type the ABN/ACN in to every single page.

    There should be an option to toggle this on/off. Alternatively a field type that pulls the ABN from the company file would be suffice to add to the report template.

    Please see attached an example on the footer of a report page.

  3. Across Xero it would be very useful (and intuitive) to be able to type dates in formats other than dd mmm yyyy (for example dd/mm/yyyy, ddmmyyyy, etc). The dd mmm yyyy isn't the usual way to enter and clients have commented that it's irritating that they can't type the date in (they use the calendar instead) because it didn't occur to them to try this format, and even when you are aware the habit when typing dates into these boxes is to use one of the more common formats so it can lead to errors

    Hi Jonathan! Thanks for sharing this great suggestion about allowing more flexible date formats in Xero. We can see how being able to type a date in different formats (like dd/mm/yyyy) would be a much quicker and more intuitive experience for many, and acknowledge that this functionality is available within other areas of Xero.

    We've also added the supporters of this idea to these two similar ideas; New invoicing and Fixed Assets.🙂

  4. Xero's feature of importing invoices into XPM is great for clients. But there is no way currently to stop importing them for people who aren't clients. Currently - we sell digital products, which we need to keep invoices for. Every time a digital product is sold, it creates a new client in XPM. They aren't clients.There should be the option to only import if a client exists in XPM.

  5. Be able to set up default coding for the Document Type to always be Receipt, and Document Status to always be Awaiting Payment. This at present isn't possible within Hubdoc.

  6. We now have a single client record with HQ & XPM but it still does not pull through the client partner & manager from XPM and allow us to filter this way.

    We would find this feature very helpful when bulk updating client access for our team members when they start or depart.

    We also need to be able to export reports from HQ on the filters we apply. Currently even if a filter is applied the export includes all clients and columns and not what is in the filter display.

  7. Be able to expand or reduce the size of a column in the depreciation schedule.
    We are finding when we add extra columns it is making the depreciation method column really large and you cant adjust it. Making the page stretched across longer that it needs to be.

    After some testing, we discovered that downloading the file in Excel or Google Sheets format and then saving it as a PDF reduces the column size. While this may not be ideal, it can serve as a temporary workaround.

  8. Make a force sync button from Xero to Hubdoc.
    E.g. adding a new account in Xero takes a while for it to eventually show in Hubdoc.
    Unless you have to disable and reactivate the Xero-Hubdoc link

    Why not a button, that just 'force sync' the new chart of accounts into Hubdoc?

  9. Delete or archive draft Partnership returns in Xero Tax UK - if a draft is created in error it just stays on the dashboard, eventually showing as overdue and clogging up the dashboard's useful information. If full deletion is not an option, for audit purposes, then I'd like to at least be able to archive it and remove it from my dashboard view.

  10. We use Fusesign as our e-sign solution and it would be great to have the option to send a document directly into the signing software. We've seen a much higher engagement level with Fusesign than any other e-sign product as it doesn't require another login, it uses SMS/email verification instead.

    A direct link would smooth out the workflow from the tax product > signing (and maybe even into client files in FYIDocs).

    Hi Matthew, it appears that FuseSign is already an integrated app Partner with Xero. As they've designed and built their integration with Xero themselves they'd it'd be best to approach their support to see if this is something they'd consider extending their integration for.

    You can find their support contact details at the bottom of their app store listing.

  11. Client Insights is fantastic for showing client by client stats.
    How about providing a TOTAL for the entire client list or filtered list, so that you can see how each client compares to the selected "community" of clients

    We've reviewed your suggestion to enhance it further by showing a total for the client list or a filtered group. We can see how this would provide valuable context, allowing you to easily benchmark how an individual client compares to the rest of the community.

    Your idea is now ready to gain support from other community members. Along with votes, others can now comment to share how they would use this summary data for analysis and advising their own clients.

  12. When each job is created, we manually have to add the contact to the job. If this is not done, the invoice that is pushed to Xero Blue doesn't have contact information and we are unable to utilise the automatic reminders etc. This requires manual monitoring and negates the efficiencies within Xero Blue.

    This manual process would be solved if we had the ability to set the Primary Contact as the default contact on jobs that are created. This could for example, be set up as a tick box in settings. This could give people the option to switch on…

  13. There is a difference in functionality between D5 and D8 in the AU individual tax return form. When deductions are entered in D5, the default deductible percentage is 100%, and whatever percentage is entered here (eg 40% phone) is rolled over when the tax return rolls over to the next year.

    In D8, the default deductible percentage is 0% (inconsistent with D5, easy to miss when quickly completing a tax return, requires you to manually type '100%' every line item - why would you enter a 0% deduction?) and the manually entered percentage does not roll over to the next…

  17. It would be good to be able to run a report of all Xero clients that have unfiled STP, or be able to view at a glance on XeroHQ. This would assist in making sure clients are meeting their compliance obligations quickly rather than go into every client to look at the Payroll Overview.

  18. We need the ability to issue a cheque and track cheque numbers in currency that is not the home currency. Example CAD is home currency. We have a USD bank account and issue cheques on that USD account but we are unable to confirm the cheques have been issued in sequence as there is no log. We are also unable to issue a cheque from that account.

  19. When drafting AIM reports in XPM, it would be helpful if you could hover over the box number and it lists the accounts that are being mapped there as opposed to changing report codes in blue Xero and continually having to update the AIM report to see if accounts are mapping correctly.
