Homepage - Set up multiple views (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced)
Have a few options so a basic user can cut down on the noise and just have bank accounts and the profit graph, for a new user this would be overwelming.
Thanks for reviewing and letting us know how we could keep improving the new homepage experience.
For the time being we're paying attention to the pulse of this idea, here.
We will let you know if there are any updates.

Why are we forced to have things on the top bar we don't use? We keep getting increases in fees for things we don't use or want. Keep it simple and charge more for people who want those things. This is common customer service when running a business.

I really wished they would have a "widget" that had shortcuts for commonly used functions like "invoices", "expenses", "refunds" etc for a one click way to get to a commonly navigated place instead of having to go through the menus

This would be very overwhelming for the majority of my clients. Already I am looking at what information to take off the home page. It's far too busy & all over the place. Bank accounts will be in various places/no "easy to read" groupings" and will get lost.

Adding and removing widgets to customize the home page is already a current feature, so as long as each individual is still able to customize, which the beta prototype indicates, then there should be no need for 'set' view formats.

As long as we can customise the main screen, it does look good.

I agree with the comment below (Karen Hughes).
From the Homepage view I have just seen, for the small business accounts I do it is way too 'cluttered'. It would be useful if one could choose which views to include on the Homepage, so that most of them could be excluded. I would not need all that information there all the time, so personally I would rather see much less.
Also, too much information on the homepage could risk people viewing information which one would prefer to keep out of 'public' view. -

Definitely too much information - far too busy. I hope the customisation you talk about enables the removal of the excess tiles that small business users don't want or need. Some users simply want to log on and go directly to their tasks without being bombarded! I've also seen how useless this information can be once our accountant gets in there and shifts things around - so displaying things like chart of accounts, P&L, etc are a waste of time.

This would be such a good idea if it can be saved for individual users to enable those that do not want to see or do not need access to everything on the homepage

I love the new look, we are just a small business, but it saves me clicking into a whole pile of different tabs to get the info I want. I like to keep on top of all outstanding invoices and bills to pay, so it's great to see it all right there. Plus I love the Year to Date stuff, I will have so much fun with this dashboard.

I wondered if to reduce the busyness of it that you can have a detailed and a simple view that you an use drop down boxes to get the addit information you require. I love it but think it would be overwhelming for small business users.

I appreciate the new home screen view, but it's essential that users have the ability to customize their layout and resize certain items. This feature would significantly improve the overall flow and user experience. Thank you for addressing this!

I like the transition towards dashboard presentation. However I wonder how useful it will be to smaller SMBs that don't keep up with their accounting on a regular basis. Of course that's a point of contact for marketing more CAS and advisory services using tools like Syft, but still they are perpetually late on transaction documentation for me, their CPA, to complete CAS services timely. I look forward to the other versions of the dashboard. I suggest some basic KPIs like AP and AR turnover or days outstanding to help them, even the laggards, see that time is indeed money. Otherwise I whole heartedly embrace this bold move.

A customisable homepage would be great but I have another item to mention. Not sure if you are thinking about this but under Purchases, Bills, Draft bills - can you make it easier to get to the next draft bill to approve, instead of having to click - at present its Business, Bills to Pay, Draft bills, onto supplier invoice and approve then repeating this from Bills to Pay to do the next one please. Its very tedious!

Far to busy!! Not pleasing on the eye! Don't fix something that's not broken! This layout would put people off Xero, just like I was out off Sage!

I like the layout but as the others said, it is busy but if it's customisable then that isn't an issue.

It's great to have the New Invoice/Bill and View All buttons on the homepage but the layout is very busy. It definitely would be good to be able to customise what you see and/or be able to adjust the layout to suit.

I like it! Ignore the tech boomers in the comments, but customisation capability is key.
