Automatic Bank Reconciliation - Add 'Tax Rate' Column to the Account Transactions View for Quick Verification
First off, the Auto-Reconciliation feature is fantastic. It is a huge time-saver and fundamentally changes how quickly bank feeds can be processed.
The Pain Point
While the automation is great, the current workflow for auditing and verifying that Auto-Reconciliation hasn't made a mistake is highly inefficient. Building trust in automated features requires an easy way to spot-check them.
Currently, my workflow to audit these transactions looks like this:
Navigate to an individual bank account.
Go to the Account Transactions tab.
Sort the list by Status to group the auto-reconciled transactions together.
The Bottleneck: I am forced to click into every single transaction individually just to see where it was coded and what tax rate was applied.
This "click fatigue" completely contradicts the time saved by using the Auto-Reconciliation feature in the first place.
The Proposed Solution
Please add the ability to view the coding details directly from the main Account Transactions list.
Add columns for Target Account (e.g., Office Expenses), Tax Rate, and ideally Tracking Categories.
Alternatively, allow users to customize the columns on this screen so we can toggle these details on or off depending on our auditing needs.
The Benefit
By displaying this information on the surface level of the Account Transactions page, users could visually scan and verify hundreds of auto-reconciled transactions in seconds, rather than spending minutes clicking in and out of individual records. This would massively reduce user error, increase trust in the automation engine, and deliver a much smoother "beautiful accounting" experience.
Thanks for your idea, antonio. We have another for being able to view the account column that I've added your vote to, and have slightly adjusted the title of your idea for the Tax rate column so we can get a sense of interest in this here. We'll share if there are any updates for this planned.
