AU Payroll - Unpaid leave report
Hi, this needs to be reopened as an issue as there is no report that shows Unpaid Leave taken which is required for reporting to LeavePlus, LSL calculations and all the reasons given on the original post for this topic which over 100 users have asked for over the last 3yrs+.
Unpaid Leave should be included in the Leave transaction report (the solution given but not correct and is also stated in the Xero help page), the Payroll Activity report and even payslips so employees have a record.1 voteThanks for submitting your idea on Xero Product Ideas. AU Payroll - Allow Withholder Payer Numbers (WPN) for Automatic Superannuation
Clients who are not eligible for an ABN but have a PAYG withholding obligation (e.g. people who employ domestic help) have to register the ATO for a Withholder Payer Number (WPN) so they can deduct and remit PAYG. The SBSCH has enabled super stream for holders of WPNs but that is closing 1 July 2026. Xero STP/Auto Super currently requires an ABN for registration - please make use of a WPN possible.

employees hours showing on Payrun
When creating a Payrun can we see total Employee hours populated in the Payrun? We use an external Time sheet, having this ability would enable us to have a quick reference without having to open up Employees details page and adding up their different hours logged.

Leave not deleting details in Payrun
If Leave is added to a Payrun after populating an Employees details those details are deleted and need to be added again, can we have added leave not delete populated details.

UK Payroll - Option to select/deselect 'Other Previous Earnings' feature on payslips
Remove the feature of 'Other Previous Earnings', or an option of allowing us to choose whether to have this feature. Grouping all previous pay items into 'Other Previous Earnings' in the same financial year is confusing and our employees won't understand what it is for. Please get rid of it!

UK Payroll - Process payments after employee has left
Please allow payments to be made to an employee after they have left and their P45 has been generated. Sage, for example, allows you to include past employees in a pay run and tick a 'payment after leaving' box which gives the correct 0T tax code and produces the correct FPS submission for HMRC. This is a very basic part of payroll that needs to be included in this system, the option to create a new employee file in order to pay them is not complying with HMRC and is not an acceptable alternative.

NZ Payroll - Turn off notification for employee bank accounts change
There needs to be a feature to turn off automatic notifications when an employee changes their bank account,
Every time this changes in our system our Accountant gets an email.
Apparently there is currently no way to turn this feature off.

AU Payroll - Option to select non reportable allowance
Could Xero start looking at a drop down box on the allowance to have one as Not Reportable (alongside the other catagories eg. Meals, Tools, Car), and to have it out for STP reporting? or another checkbox down the bottom along with the withholding tax, super, and W1 questions?

UK Payroll: Pay apprenticeship levy through Xero
I have a client that needs to apply the Apprenticeship levy and this is not available on Xero Payroll as this is normally a function for large companies and not small companies that Xero are focusing on. This is a small company, but do form part of a large UK group therefore are sucked into reporting this to HMRC. Can this function be integrated into Xero payroll to be switched on when needed? UK Payroll: Include employer pension contributions in employee opening balances
Have the ability to enter employer pension contributions in the opening balances when adding a new client to Xero. At present the resulting payslip is incorrect as the YTD employer pension figure only shows the current month and not YTD.

NZ Payroll - I would like a report that shows annual leave taken, any adjustments made to the leave balance and a final total of leave owing. I do not think there is anywhere that shows if an change has been made to someone's leave balance

UK payroll - payroll admin to turn off email notifications for payroll payments
Multiple users of Xero account (in accountants office) have payroll admin status for clients. When a payroll payment has been created we are all receiving emails. Should be an option to turn this off.

UK payroll reports
The Gross to Net payroll report should be available from the reports download in the payroll tab - it is the only vaguely useful payroll report so going via another menu to locate doesn't make sense.

Auto accrual for additional leave from salary sacrifice
We offer employees the option to sacrifice salary for additional leave. Prorating the salary is easy - just enter a new salary and a day for it to apply from. Giving the additional leave is a pain, as it aligns with the financial year, not the employee's leave anniversary date. At the moment I have to create a new leave type, and manually add the leave balance.

It would be useful to be able to download/print the P11's for an individual instead of it being a bulk download.

report that shows who our Working holiday makers
There currently is no report that incorporates a list of employees based on "Income type". Hence there is no filtering that can be done by "Income Type" either. As a company that employs people from multiple income types, this feature is something of importance to us. Manually creating, updating and managing a spreadsheet for this information seems workload heavy when it should be simple as the information is already a part of XERO's requirements for employee employment information. Knowing how many Working Holiday Makers you have on your books compared to non WHM's is of significance.

payroll and super and aba
Include Super in payroll .aba export.
Why does Super need to be treated differently to the other bank transfers included in a payroll .aba export?
