XPM - Invited User Admin Level client access
General overhaul of user permissions. Including: When a new user is added to the practice at the admin level, they are automatically added to all clients in the practice. For large firms this is problematic and would be better if all users were only given access to the demo account upon invitation.

Based on Xero Central, when you invite someone into your practice with the administrator role, they get default access to organisations where the subscription is managed by the practice. However, this access can still be managed and overridden from the staff record. If you have Manage staff access, you can update that staff member’s access to all clients in the Permissions tab, or override access for specific client records.
If you also have Manage users permission for the organisation, you can update the staff member’s access to that organisation as part of the setup.
If the subscription isn’t managed by the practice, the staff member needs to accept a Xero organisation invite from the client to access that organisation.
So while admin users do receive default access to practice-billed organisations, that access isn’t fixed. You can limit their access from the…

allow "invoice only" users to post to xero from orderwise
I would like a member of staff to be able to post to Xero from our Orderwise ERP software when I am away, so that I can have a holiday where i don't have to log in to Xero and Orderwise every morning. It is not currently possible as she has "invoice only" access. which works for everything else she does, but will not allow her to post from Orderwise to Xero. I don't want to give her access to the bank accounts so I'm stuck. Please consider making a change to user permissions to allow this 3rd party posting…

Just to clarify, how external apps interact with Xero user permissions is controlled by the way those apps use our API. Because of this, requests related to specific integration behaviour are better handled outside of Xero Product Ideas.

User role - Restrict option to add or delete Bank Accounts To Subscriber user role
It is concerning that Bank Accounts can be added or deleted by users with "Standard User Access or even "Advisor" in some cases.
Considering the whole Xero Accounting system revolves around Bank Feeds, the ability to add a bank account, activate Bank Feeds or even delete a bank account should only be a function available to the Software Subscriber.

User - Restore deleted user
Once a user is deleted it would be helpful to have a list of deleted users, where you can then restore from if needed.

Bills - Give approvers access to limited suppliers
Xero access - Limited permissions for approver
In the process of bills approvements we need the approvers to have limited access to suppliers (if they can access xero currently access allows them to see everything on the system). For example:
approver A has limtied access to supplier B
Approver C has limited access to supplier Dapprover A could not see information regarding supplier D and approver C could not see information on supplier B.
This would help us to avoid having an extra software that handles approvals when everything could be done through xero.

User role - Permission to create Spend or Receive monies
The Receive Money function should be made available to users who do nothing else except literally receive money - ie sales people. This is especially relevant in small countries where cash is king and non electronic transactions are still in majority. I have one user who only needs to receive cash but I can't give them that function without making them an Adviser.

User Role | Permissions - Allow Invoice Only users to connect apps
Change the permissions required to connect apps, most importantly the Pipedrive app. Since currently Pipedrive users (sales people) are required to have full access to Xero in order to connect and use the integration. We can't give our sales team full access to our accounts due to sensitive transaction details and salaries contained in Xero as you would expect.

Users: Remove user access without cancelling user's repeating invoices
If a staff member leaves, you would usually delete them as a user. That causes issues, however, if they have set up recurring invoices. These will be left as draft and will not be sent. It would be useful if you could keepa staff member but remove the access so that they can't log in themselves anymore, almost making them inactive?
