Ability to customise Important Dates view

It would be good to be able to customise this view.
I would like to be able to select 'Milestones' from the 'Show important dates for' dropdown menu.
I like that the view shows three months, however, it's too expanded; I need to scroll down considerably to view the current date and future months. Considering it could probably not include less job information than what the calendar already shows, it may be helpful to have more options in the 'Show important dates for' dropdown menu, or the ability to customise the view (such as view by month or week, hide weekends, hide 'Complete Job').
It would also be good to be able to add a widget for this on the homepage. Or just a widget for Milestones. I just really want to be able to view my Milestones quickly...
