Documents - Drag & drop a file to attach to a transaction
Just like the "Drop or click to upload files" area below this text box, I'd like an area within each transaction that I can use to upload an invoice or receipt. Rather than clicking the add document button and searching through the file hierarchy.

I have been asking for this for a while! I would like to be able to drag the file from the Document folder into the transaction - not choose it from the click to upload files window. So time consuming.

I have just moved over to Xero from Quickbooks and finding this to be a significant disadvantage of Xero because in Quickbooks I could easily drag a picture or document from an email directly onto the bank transaction without having to save it or drag it into Documents first. Please Xero incorporate this simple feature onto your bank reconciliation page to save users so much time having to save documents first and then search for them to upload them.

We run a farm business with multiple properties in multiple locations. As a result we have had to adopt an online onedrive account, so they we can save and upload invoices from the laptop where ever we are located. Having the drag and drop functionality for reconciling invoices would be a huge time saver for our business and bring Xero up to date with common online functionality. At the moment we need to double handle recipes or invoices and save them onto our desktop, just to be able to upload a copy to Xero. Seems crazy that I can’t just drag and drop from an online onedrive platform!

I have just wasted 1 day to-ing and fro-ing with support as I normally attach the remittance from our client to the incoming transaction. I have just found that because the client overpaid us that we cannot attach the remittance to the transaction. This is probably the best instance that you do want the remittance attached to the transaction! I wasn't able to attach the remittance to a batch deposit, as the client was paying multiple entities, so I had to wait until the transaction came through to be able to split across the entities and create the overpayment transactions.
