SPLIT SCREEN in INBOX
I HATE the new split screen when reviewing documents in the FILE INBOX. Please reinstate the overlay. To review the document requires multiple enlarging and panning of the document, this is a very cumbersome process. Please add an option so that the user can choose between 'overlay' or 'split screen'

Contacts - Sort numerically through 1,2,3,4
We manage flats, and therefore all of the accounts are the flat numbers. When we sort them by flat number they come out as 1, 10, 100. This would be so much easier if it could be sorted as 1,2,3,4,5 which is what you would expect
2 votesSorry to hear the troubles you're running into here, Ben. Contacts are usually sorted in a chronological order. However, if you find that something is not working as it should, I'd suggest raising a case with our Xero Support team on Xero Central and our specialists can investigate with you 1-1. Thanks!

Hubdoc Functionality
Will Hubdoc functionality be enhanced? It feels so far behind and is getting difficult to justify not switching to a better alternative. Here are a few improvements I'd like to see:
- Increasing the upload limit for receipts via the mobile app
- Adding the ability to publish documents directly from the mobile app
- Improving the matching process for repeating bills
- Enabling the publication of receive money transactions
- Enhancing the search functionality to show document locations
- Adding the ability to copy text within documents without first having to download them
- Adding the ability to merge documents
1 voteThanks for sharing your suggestions. We’ve reviewed them and classified this as feedback because much of what you’ve raised relates to existing Hubdoc functionality or clarifications on how certain features work today.
Some of your points are already supported, such as merging supplier folders, identifying where documents are stored in the desktop app, publishing receipts to Xero using Spend Money, and uploading multiple documents in the mobile app.
You’ve also highlighted a few potential enhancements that would be best shared as separate ideas, so they can be individually voted on and discussed by the community. These include publishing documents from the mobile app, copying OCR text within the document viewer, and improving matching for repeating bills.
Splitting these into individual ideas will help ensure each suggestion gets clear visibility and the right level of community support.

Not all functions of new inbox Accessible - infinite tabs to download file
The new inbox removed the 'download' option from the kebab on each line of the list of files. The only way now to download a file without using a mouse is to tab to the right spot to open the new preview pane, then either tab all the way to the bottom of the list plus 5 more tabs to get to the download button OR reverse tab similarly large numbers of times to get to the download button via all the menu bar items, then press enter (space doesn't activate this button). This is not Accessible.

Reporting - Contact Spend & Revenue Analytics
Easy way to see total money spend or money received for a contact for a set date range (year to date, this month, custom range). Ideally, be able to track this vs other contacts in the dashboard, eg, highest spending customer, most important suppliers etc. All the data is there but currently requires creating a report or exporting to a spreadsheet which is counterproductive. Really surprised it’s not a feature already to be honest as I was doing this in spreadsheets before migrating into Xero.

⭐️ While we don’t currently have a dashboard view for this, you could run reports like Contact Transactions Summary, Contact Cash Activity, Customer Invoice Activity or Supplier Bill Activity, and compare results using Income and Expenses by Contact. Another important thing to note, spend & receive money vs bills & invoices are different types of transactions. Country
When adding new contacts, we are forced to have the Country added. 100% of contacts we enter this is manually removed. This should not be necessary as I feel a majority of used would only be sending (If Posting) items to the country they are in.
Maybe this could be changed to either NOT included or included? Or just not included at all.

Hubdoc - Supplier link to add payment details
When you use the cog in Hubdoc to update supplier information e.g. payment terms it use to being up the supplier, but it has recently stopped doing this. Now you have to search for the supplier to update and this takes time and is frustrating, especially as you use to be able to do this. Please put back this facility.

Contacts - View suppliers and customers at the same time
I would like to be able to see Customers and Suppliers on the top bar, without having to first go into contacts, this would make looking up customers or suppliers easier with less delay. I often select the wrong one in error and then it takes even longer.

Contacts - Allow Negative Discounts
Allow Negative Discounts to provide a basic Tiered Pricing Solution
There has been a huge amount of noise over the last 5+ years about Xero not supporting Tiered pricing. This can mean many things, but the most basic requirement is Customer Price Lists.
It can be as simple as allowing negative discounts in the Contact Record...a negative discount would increase the price instead of discounting it.
Every Item Currently has a default 'Sale Price'.

Hubdoc - share and upload documents from device drives
Why can't you open a document , press share and the doucment filed into Hubdoc in the same way you can with Xero Files where want to push into Hubdoc initially?
Also you can seem to add PDF file types (that are not photos taken previously and stored in your phone gallery) with or without downloading the PDF document onto your device first - why is that?
Is Hubdoc a proper document storage facility?

Hubdoc - Option to code transactions and save them, without publishing to Xero
User & Approval - Having a user that can upload documents & code them. Save the changes but not publish to Xero. Bookkeeper can then check the coding is correct before publishing to Xero or having a approval process where the document is sent to be approved before publishing to Xero, and this would work for purchase orders, invoices & receipts

Files - Allow uploads to client organisations
Changes to Xero that have not improved the program
How do I upload files from Xero Files (documents scanned to Xero etc) to my client it no longer allows this - previously you could access either Xerol Files or your own files from your drive - am I missing something ? Also you can no longer just print invoices you have to download them _ why this is a total pain - the joy of Xero was always click and print or email ??? Files - Separate locations for contact related documents vs financial related documents
Where can I attach contact related documents vs financial related documents, as it appears there is only one document file upload location now. When there were options to keep these separate previously. It is all very well making updates and changes to the system in order for things to be quicker and more efficient but when this means, loosing previously used facilities, this is very frustrating. Keeping these different related documents apart has been very important previously and so now these all being stored together will mean things our end take longer and are less efficient for the end user.…

Hubdoc - Support Access to Multiple Xero Orgs
Enhance the App to allow persistence of multiple Organizations. Currently if you log into Xero with different credentials for different organizations, you can not do the same in the Hubdoc mobile app.
Instead, the lucky few who have admin access to one of their Hubdoc organizations can invite their username from the other organization. This workaround only works if you are an officer of both, as inviting external users is probably a no no for most organizations. Contact | Notes - Edit from main page of a contact
The new notes section is a good idea one of which I suggested however its really not very freindly to use.
its buried at the end of the contact detail which means you have to navigate here.
The window is far too small - want a lot larger window at least 3 times the current box size which would make it easy to see and edit.
Would like it to appear on the invoice page so that one can see and edit as necessary when creating invoices.

Contacts - Optional average to invoiced amount auto-check
Auto-check of an invoice amount and compare it to the customer's maximum ever invoice amount. To avoid a typo eg entered £7000 instead of £700.

Contacts - Ability to set a list of countries that a contact can be added
It would be good to be able pick from a pre-defined list of countries. This would enable clean data entry. Also we are syncing data with Hubspot and it is causing issues with matching to pre-defined lists with the CRM

HubDoc - make the subscriber of the Xero file the owner of the HubDoc file
At the moment there is a glaring issue with Xero files and HubDoc files, that the subscriber/owner of each can be different, even though the HubDoc file is integrated with the Xero file and is "paid for" by virtue of the Xero subscription.
This means it's possible for someone to lose access to their HubDoc account, even if they are the subscriber of their Xero file. Nightmare.
