Find and Match - Reconcile two statement lines to each other
There needs to be a better matching system with Xero.
For example I have two statement lines that cancel each other out. You should be able to match two statement lines to each other rather than creating invoice/bill to reconcile each line.
Additionally, being able to reconcile multiple statement lines with multiple invoices/bills, overpayments or prepayments needs to be a thing.

i agree with previous comments/ suggestions.
I cant find how to do this or match more than one statement line with an invoice, even with tutorials - the money spent tick box does not exist. There is no-one to speak to and support does not answer the question
reconcilliation was much easier with VT. i may have to switch. -

Since Xero does not allow integrations to post JE to the bank feed, but instead works around this by using bills. It would be a lot more seamless especially in the case of payroll (Gusto) to have Xero automatically match the 2 transactions to the bill.
Seems silly in this day and age when the 2 transactions automatically match the bill total we need to do this manually, then split the bill, refresh the page, and then match the remaining balance.
Using other accounting software that uses JE this is a clunky process that could be made a lot better.

We would appreciate the option to reconcile bank statement lines with each other instead of creating separate account transactions. For instance, when our suppliers mistakenly direct debit an incorrect amount and later refund that amount. It makes no sense to record this wrong transaction and then credit it in Xero. If we could just offset these two bank statement lines, it would be more convenient for us. Thank you.
