JAX - Ability to opt out
Grandfathering JAX to every user with a new ToS is garbage, please allow a complete opt out of the feature.
2 votesHi Timothy, while we appreciate your feedback I want to be upfront that we don't have any plans to add a complete opt out option.
JAX has become a core part of how Xero works, which is why we've moved it to always-on. That said, JAX isn't active until you open it and move through the initial consent step, so it won't do anything without you initiating it.
You won’t be able to turn JAX off for the whole organisation, but you don’t have to use it:
- If you don’t want to use JAX, simply don’t open it
- If you don’t want certain people to use JAX, you can manage their Xero roles and permissions so they can’t see sensitive data

timed log out
The automatic, timed log-out leaves data visible on screen for a few seconds before reverting to a log-in screen. This may be browser specific (I tend to use Chrome) but there is a small security or privacy risk when this happens if whoever sees it isn't meant to. And once you know it happens, you can plan for it. I haven't tried it yet, but a screengrab seems a simple approach. I'm not clear on the mechanism to fix this, however, but I thought it would be a good, if trivial, improvement.
