Auditor access was a suggestion I listed over 10 years ago. I don't understand why user access options are still so limited. It seems a basic request to be able to have full access to the file that's read only. Would be good for auditors, regulators, board directors, etc as changes can't accidentally be made while still having good oversight

Hey everyone, thank you for all your feedback. We’re on a long journey to provide more granular access and controls within Xero features that our customers need.
As you may have seen in some of our recent updates across other user roles ideas we’re currently in the process of adding more permissions within Reporting and Inventory. Further to this our research has highlighted Payroll and Banking as areas that more controls are most needed, and are on our agenda as we continue to develop permissions and access to features.
Your feedback here and through direct engagements with our teams have been extremely insightful, and we appreciate all your inputs.
I'll continue to provide updates on the development of roles for features as we progress.

We use fixed price for all invoices and never use calculation price. Yet have to select fixed price every time on creating an invoice.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your appetite in this idea. You may have seen some of the improvements coming with Xero Partner Hub soon as we unify the client and staff experiences across practice tools.
We want to be open that there are no changes planned for syncing contacts from Xero blue into Xero Partner Hub at this stage but we'll continue to keep a close eye on the interest here and share if any plans are made.

Hi everyone 👋 thanks for your feedback around the sync between Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and Xero Blue.
You may have heard our Xero’s practice tools are evolving into one seamless platform with Xero Partner Hub. With focus on this new hub at present we want to be open that there are no changes for the sync between Client in practice tools and Contacts in your Xero organisation.
This maybe something we look into in the longer term but want to be open it's not in the roadmap at present.
We'll continue to keep a close eye on the support here, and share if there's any progress.

This is a constant and annoying issue for staff that the details between XPM and Xero blue don't sync well or regularly. Can't understand why, after so many years, this still hasn't been fixed. e.g. contact name from XPM syncing to client last name in Xero blue. We had so many instances of old contact first name still showing next to new contact full name in the last name box that I've stopped using those fields to populate emails to clients.
Address, email for billing, etc there is no reason that these should only update when an invoice is created, or in the case of email not sync at all.

This is a critical issue, and I can't understand why it hasn't been implemented yet. It makes the process of creating new users in practice manager so time consuming and error prone. Resulting in different staff having different permissions when they should all have the same.
Then there isn't any easy way to check / audit permissions across many staff.

Especially for our SMSF clients this is a constant issue when we have 3-4 unique clients, but with exactly the same name. Often ending up with confusion and sync errors from practice manager to Xero Blue.

Additionally, Capacity settings don't allow for different week settings. e.g. staff that work 3 days one week and 2 the following week - how can that be saved in the capacity settings area?

In the current flexible working environment I have some staff who's regular hours include Saturday, others who may work sat/sun occasionally. Capacity / productivity settings don't work for them correctly when it doesn't show Saturday Sunday.

Hello everyone, appreciate all your feedback here. To be upfront, we don’t have any plans to develop the ability to reconcile clearing, control and non-bank accounts in the near future.
Some of the technology improvements going on across Xero will create more opportunities for us to explore extending some of the more complex functionality from one part of Xero to another. However, we are some way off from this yet.
That being said, there is the Account transaction report that could be handy in providing a view of both sides of a transaction in Xero. You can include the related account as a column in the report - See more in our help article on this.
Alternatively, if you’re using an external system, you could look into the Xero App store.
Appreciate there are also lots of ways others are using Xero’s to fit their needs - If you…

There's not much point in the current 'submit for approval', 'approve' options in Xero unless there's an ability to control who can approve.
E.g. setting specific approvers based on amount, supplier, etc. and that the person who entered the transaction can't also approve it.
