    Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting the ability to assign files to the project itself. While this isn't something we have planned right now we'll keep tracking the interest through the idea here. 


    To highlight, though not currently available on the Project directly, it's possible to attach files to the individual transactions within a project e.g a Bill, Invoice, Spend money or Expense. i

    Along with this, you may also find it useful to create folders within your Files library where you can collect all files related to a specific project for ease of reference. 

    Understand this isn't the ideal solution, but may help some for now 🙂

    - documents:
    I would like to be able to attached documents to projects (eg engagement letter, statement of work, and such..) .

    - notes
    Also would like to be able to write notes (eg that the deadline is open to negotiation, or the budget is capped within a range.. or that there are phases to the budget cap for the projects...

    OR ideally to have this detail able to be registered against the project - eg to enter a project estimate for phases and progressive timelines...
    This would actually enable us to track in Xero how we're delivering against client project-budget milestones, and to keep team and client communications up to date when budget timelines are shorter or more sophisticated..

    Hi everyone, while our team considered solutions in this space with other pieces of work planned there is no current development planned for adding a notes or description field within Projects at this time. 

    For now, as you may be aware you can add notes to the History and notes of the individual transactions within a project, or alternatively on the Contacts record. 

    We're continuing to watch this space and will share if there is any progress.

    I would also like to be able to attach important project docs to a project - eg engagement letter with client, statement of work, etc..

    Also I would like to be able to enter more detail in the project - eg progressive project phase deadlines and budgets for each phase..

    agree they should be able to update their own bank details and addresses etc

    Hi Nur Fatini, it'd be good to get more understanding from you here as it sounds like the Account Transactions report could serve the purpose or perhaps simply creating a receipt of the spend money?

    If the payment is occurring at a different time to the transaction being entered is there a reason why the transaction is not being recorded as a bill, Anne-Marie? 

    There are lots of efficiencies in how bills can now be created in Xero without much manual intervention so would be good to understand more of the detail behind your business needs, here.
