Please accelerate the implementation of the facility to add notes to projects - this is critical for a number of my clients

I need to attach receipts automatically to expense invoices. It’s driving me crazy doing it manually

Agree, I want to be able to add notes and files to Projects. Why can't you add this as you did for adding files to contacts????

Their business model is to create a subscription based module, paid monthly, then produce no updates for that product.

Projects is in your top tier pricing. Surely this means we should get a few updates over 2 years. Come on Xero, Project users have been making do and finding work arounds for crucial improvements for too long.

I can even add an attachment to this comment. Why not in projects?

This is absolutely critical for us to consider using Xero Projects in our business. We have to send lengthy legal documentation with all quotes for projects and need all project staff users to have access to these within the software. There would be too much risk of human error in keeping these stored separately within files. We also need the ability to add notes to projects, this seems like a really obvious feature, I can't understand why it has not been added?

It would definitely persuade us to use Xero Projects if you could attach documents to the specific projects.

This enhancement to our project management system would be perfect and significantly increase efficiency and organization. The ability to attach documents, drawings, photos, plans, notes, and other relevant files directly to a specific project would be incredibly beneficial.

Having a central place to store all project documentation not only makes sense but would streamline our workflow and ensure all team members have easy access to necessary materials.

The ability to attach documents, drawings, photos, notes etc. directly to a project would be of huge benefit.

The Project is the obvious and sensible place to file project documentation.

Also would like to be able to write notes (eg that the deadline is open to negotiation, or the budget is capped within a range.. or that there are phases to the budget cap for the projects...

OR ideally to have this detail able to be registered against the project - eg to enter a project estimate for phases and progressive timelines...
This would actually enable us to track in Xero how we're delivering against client project-budget milestones, and to keep team and client communications up to date when budget timelines are shorter or more sophisticated..

Please add a feature to attach photos to a project. It’s critical in our business

Has there been any movement on this? We would really like to keep all the technical drawings used with each project for future reference.

Adding files to projects will allow us as a charity to track individual grant paperwork to the specific grant instead of in bulk to the client. Grants can cover the lifespan of an organization and often have a few annexes & addendums that can be difficult to manage! Besides that, works great though I wonder if there's a way to isolate amount unpaid as well, I track the estimated expense ex: 10K and enter an invoice for 10K but the fundor holds back 25% until after final reports.

For other people seeking solutions for multi-project AND FUNDER reports, Xero offers a flexible solution and I highly recommend however we have not integrated a CRM yet. If anyone knows of a seamless integration for our needs please let me know, this is currently underway :)

Adding FILES to the projects would greatly benefit our company. With our engineers, sales reps and project managers that travel it would be convenient to have a copy of the customer write up, photos, notes, etc. for everyone to access. Please consider adding this option to xero.

Hi, I'd like to be able to add photos to projects from the projects app so I have a visual reference of what the project is. I'm a builder so it would be handy to see which job it is/was visually.

Projects module needs updating as it hasn't been added to in a while. If adding the files feature isn't possable the ability to add external directory like FTP would be better. And the work around mentioned isn't workable. Why would you store files for a project in a seperate area

Would be a great feature for staff who only have access to the projects app.

Absolute no brainer for a multifunctional App. Otherwise it’s a cost and Time tracker and I still need project management software

This may direct us away from using Xero.
How will we track customers purchase orders for projects?

Critical for projects to assist at Invoicing stage where picture and files can be added for information and later reference.
