Hi everyone, we wanted to return and give a little more information with the update of this idea's status.

Our product team are currently looking into the development of adding the Pay now button to Customer statements which would enable your customers to pay for multiple invoices at once.

Though it's early days at present we'll keep you updated of their progress, here.

Payment link on statements would be a very good feature. Crazy that when you send an invoice they have a payment link but not when you send a statement

Would this be when drilling into a figure that's shown on your Profit & Loss, Caroline?

If so - this drill down take you to the Account Transactions report. You should find that you  an adjust the report settings to add 'Invoice Number' as  column so you can see both pieces of information on the report. LMK how you get on or if it's something a little different that you're referring too.

Not directly within the Profit & Loss report, however there are a couple of options that you could find handy -

As inventory was mentioned - Smart lists that can be run within Contacts could enable you to view segment and view customers based on purchases, payments and locations within a period.

Alternatively, we've made a lot of improvements to Xero's newer reports and you could view the top 10 customers in a graph and their spending with you on the Income by Contact report.

Appreciate the interest here, everyone. Being open this isn't something we have current plans for.

Thanks for noting the optional paths atm, Paula! Understand it's not the solution being asked here however for those that haven't already we'd recommend looking to connect Hubdoc to help automate the process. 🙂

Hi community, we appreciate this idea has collected a fair amount of votes and commentary. This has all been feedback and taken seriously by our product teams.

Currently, there are ways to record a bad debt in Xero, depending on your tax registration status and how you want the transactions to be recorded in your reports - We have help for this on Xero Central you can draw into.

We don’t have any plans in the near term to expand functionality to develop a button to write off invoices or bills as 'bad debt'. If anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea!
