    I have a couple of clients who both employ from the same pool of tradespeople on short-term contracts - the employee will switch from one to the other based on who is doing work in their area in a given month. Leave requests and timesheets are an absolute dogs breakfast for those clients!

    Thanks for sharing this here, Olga. Appreciate the needs in being able to approve these sort of 0.00 invoices in your Xero organisation. I can confirm this is something our team are looking at so I'll keep you updated of any change of this, here.

    For the meantime, though I appreciate it may slightly change your flow you should find you can approve these type of invoices from the Draft list of your invoices. If you have a few of these waiting you'll be able to Approve these all at once to save a little time.

    I've had to use a workaround of using a bill, but of course you can't send that to a client!

    A workaround that a friend recently put me onto is using multiple profiles in Chrome - I can have one separate instance of Xero open in each profile, each logged into separately

    The workaround I use for this is to open each entity in a different browser. Unfortunately, there aren't enough browsers installed by IT on my computer to open all the inter-related entities at the same time, but I can at least get one open in Chrome and one open in Firefox!

    Appreciate your feedback on search in Xero, Laura. When you say you'd like more options for search are than any specific fields of transactions that you and your clients might commonly search - this'll help when sharing back with the team. 

    If say, you'd search text generally in the description field of a transaction I'll merge your idea here in with this one where we can keep you all updated of any change all together.

    Here's a screenshot of a search I did within a client's accounts today. I was trying to open the contact, and no matter how much of the contact's name I entered, it wouldn't give me the contact (only bills and transactions), and then after I had entered a significant portion of the contact's name, it refused to give me any results at all. So I opened up one of those bills so I could show you just how ridiculous it is.

    Hi everyone, we wanted to let you know about a new update to the navigation help menu that's in the process of rolling out in Xero. 

    We're introducing an AI generated answer field to the content search results in the existing help box within Xero blue, HQ and Xero Me. When you search or ask a question in this box you'll receive an AI generated answer based on Xero Central support content that's displayed above the regular search results.

    Introducing generative AI to our navigation help menu will help to improve the results returned by the search function, saving you time especially if you're just getting started in Xero, or doing a task you don't do often.

    We aim to have this to all users over the next week, and I'll round back to confirm when available to 100%.

    @Martin Danger and will the generative AI have the hallucinations removed? Will it only have access to current information or will obsolete help files still be in the database?

    (And if the genAI gives advice that is counter to legal requirements in the country of the user, will Xero hold itself liable for the advice given, just as if the advice as given by a human?)

    I REALLY don't need to be sent copies of all the timesheets for approval for all my clients, particularly since I can't attest to the employee's timeliness since I'm not there, I'm an offsite advisor.

    Here's another screenshot, because September is over and I'd like to reconcile the PAYG withheld for September against the PAYG paid NOW rather than when I prepare the September BAS which is due in eight weeks time. And I'd really rather have a total I can compare to the total on the Payroll Employee Summary or other reports instead of relying on my ability to not make typos when adding up each prepayment individually.

    As it is, this is what the 'outstanding bills' to the ATO currently looks like for that client... not in credit but a whole bunch of prepayments.

    I have an Australian client who is a medium withholder for PAYG. I'd really like to be able to see a total for the amount that has been paid after every payrun, as is required for medium withholders, so that I can reconcile this with the amount that will show on the Activity Statement (since Xero doesn't have an option for reports to be generated any more frequently than monthly) and plan for the cash flow required to pay the GST component.
