Thanks for starting the idea here, Renee.
Just to clarify, when you say ‘duplicate a contact’ would this be; the ability to duplicate an entire client (including all its contacts), to duplicate a contact within an existing client, or duplicate a contact from one client to another?
If the last, we have a similar idea over here that I can join you in with. 🙂Emily Hoult supported this idea ·

Hi everyone, we'd like to share an update on this idea with you all - As announced at Xerocon there are exciting changes coming for practices with Xero Partner Hub!
With the Xero Partner Hub you'll have a unified client and staff experience. We'll be providing some additional Client detail fields including Date of Death for Individual / Sole Trader business structures.
This'll be rolling out to all Xero partners in early 2026, with the beta being available from November, starting in Australia and New Zealand - Find out more on our website

Hi everyone, we appreciate the continued interest in the timer in Practice Manager. As mentioned in my last update, work for a Pause option would require a lot of work, and it's not something we have plans for right now.
However, we understand this is important to our customers and when our team have more capacity we'll explore how we might develop solution for this.
We will keep let you know if there is any progression to share here.

This request is the ability to duplicate an entire client.
It would create a NewCo that had the same addresses, contacts, group membership, staff assignments, etc.... Effectively everything except the link to a Xero file.
The use case is setting up corporate groups, where we might be creating 30 clients, all with the same address. Right now we're typing out everything again and again and again. It's rather painful.
An alternative workflow would be to allow for bulk client changes. ex: Allow a user to select multiple clients and then change the address for all of them. This route would make it easier to change to existing clients, and if a new group arrived the clients could be created with just the name and then everything else could be bulk changed.
