Thanks for your feedback and letting us know how we could improve the way duplicates alerts work for you here.
While we don't have any immediate changes planned for this, our team will consider improvements to this model overtime.
For the time being we'll continue to keep our eyes on the support for this in community, here. I'll share if there is any news.

Hey everyone 👋,
Thanks for your feedback and for sharing your thoughts on this idea ✨. We'd like to clear up some confusion. If you navigate through the main menu, the Invoices or Bills pages always default to the All tab, but clicking Invoices owed to you or Bills you need to pay from the dashboard takes you directly to the Awaiting Payment tab. As noted by others in this thread, one option for now is to bookmark the Awaiting Payment tab directly from your browser. Our product teams are continuously reviewing all the feedback on the Xero Product Ideas portal. While we can't make any promises about if or when this idea will be developed, your votes and comments are essential for helping us understand what's most important to you. I am so so SICK of all of the pop-ups on my screen with absolutely no option to turn them off. All they do is distract - now there is even one telling me that an invoice is overdue before I've even had a chance to put in the payment!!!!!! Leave us to do what we do and stop trying to tell us how to work

Hi team, thank you for your thorough feedback in this idea. We appreciate there are different preferences our users have when approving invoices in Xero and just to re-highlight - there are now keyboard shortcuts available for most action buttons in invoicing to help navigate and quickly select the option you prefer rather than the drop down selection.
Though we understand it is not the news you're hoping here we want to be transparent that there are no plans at this stage to add the ability to set your own default for the Approve button in invoicing.
We will continue to track the support this idea keeps building and be sure to let you know if there is any change to the status of this idea, here.

OMG PLEASE give me the option to turn this off!! It just wastes time to constantly have to review bills that are reocurring; AND whenever I make a stock adjustment, I get more duplicates!!!!! I can't even ignore it because it dominates the screen
